to join their group. The book club will meet on Monday,

September 23 at 7:00 p.m. This month’s selection is

Emma by Jane Austen. Books and audio books are

available behind the circulation desk. Sign up or drop in

for this event.

The next Library Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,

September 11, at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome to these open

meetings. If you are unable to attend a meeting, but still want to

know what occurred at the meeting, the public is welcome to

read the meeting minutes. The minutes are available ten days

after the meeting, and they are kept behind the circulation desk.

The minutes are not available for check out, but you are able to

make copies if you choose. You will need to leave a photo ID at

the circulation desk while you have the minutes.

Affordable Care Act

PUZZLE MANIA

Kudos to our regular patron, Linda, for completing our 1,000 piece puzzle. Here is a picture of the

finished product. A new 500 piece puzzle awaits willing patrons. Come on in and work on it!

The Friends of the Library group is seeking members who can help out with different

activities the group has planned. If you are interested in joining the Friends, please stop in

the library and fill out a registration form, or send an e-mail to Stephanie at

headofcircrgpl@gmail.com.

The seminar regarding the new Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was cancelled due to the

presenter’s illness. A new date will be established soon for this informational discussion.

Please check the library’s website and outdoor sign for the new date.

The Numbers Are In

Attention Children Mrs. Tucker is interested in hearing from you. What is something new that you would

like to see in the children’s area? More bean bag chairs? More books on DVD’s?

Different color paint on the walls? Please tell her your ideas and look for the changes

coming this winter.

Did you know….that the library has been busier than ever? For the fiscal year 2012-2013,

on average, the library checked out 254 items a day, which is up from last year’s average of

221 items. For the fiscal year 2012-2013, we checked out 76,298 items total! We thank all

of you for using the River Grove Public Library!!
