– Ofnasmiðjan was founded in 1936 and celebrated 75 years in may 2011

– The company was an industrial producer of radiators and kitchen sinks

– Family run company with same owners from 1936 until 2008

– Bought in 2009 by current owners.

– New name is Rými Ofnasmidjan. Rými means space (english), raum (german)

– About 25% growth in sales per year since 2009. Turnover in 2013 est. 1,5 m Eur

– New 1000m2 showroom and distribution center in Brautarholt 26 - Reykjavik

– RÍ and Rými merger in may 2012
