MARRIAGE PREPARATION 2019 Are you engaged and planning to be married in the Catholic Church? Congratulations! The next step is to attend Marriage Preparation classes. The cost per couple is $70. A full list of dates, places and times is online at www.dioceseaj.org (Ministries, Marriage Preparation). Local classes will be held at Our Lady of Victory on June 6-13-20 and here at St John the Evangelist October 15-22-29, 2019.

BINGO! The Knights of Columbus BINGO will be held Monday, May 13th in the School Auditorium. Doors open at 6:00 PM for food, fellowship and games of chance. The Bingo games begin at 7:00 PM. Cost is $20 for 20 games. Pay-out $850.00.

CATHOLIC MINISTRIES DRIVE Be a Good Shepherd. Give Help. Build Hope. Change Lives. There are 14 ministries supported by the CMD. 100% of your gift goes directly to these ministries! This week’s featured ministry –Christian Initiation—last year $7,627 provided educational materials, facilities for classes and workshops, and liturgical celebrations as 98 adults were welcomed into the Church.

DIAPER DRIVE The Catholic Daughters Diaper Drive continues year-round. You may leave your diaper donations in the bins in the vestibule outside of the new prayer room. These diapers are given to Project Gabriel in State College.

FATIMA DEVOTIONS The Franciscan Friars, T.O.R., from Loretto, invite you to participate with them in celebrating the Fatima Devotions on Monday May 13th, at 6:30 P.M. at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel. The singing will be led by the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel and the sermon will be delivered by Fr. Peter Lyons, T.O.R. We would like to extend a cordial welcome to all.

RELIGIOUS VOCATION Are you discerning a religious vocation? The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm invite women 18-40 to share a day with them. Their “Come and See Day” is Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM at Garvey Manor, 1037 S. Logan Blvd, Hollidaysburg. There will also be Mass at 9:00 AM. Experience interac-tions with the Sisters in the Carmelite traditions of prayer, community life and ministry. CLOTHING BANK Light of the World Community Clothing Bank is located at St. John’s United Church of Christ at 145 West Linn Street in Bellefonte. They offer free clothes for everyone. They have a huge inventory of clothing in a variety of styles and sizes . All of their clothing is clean and gently used or new. All are welcome from 9:00 AM—12:00 PM on the last two Saturdays of the each month. Please visit www.bellefonteucc.org for more information.

BREAKFAST The next Knights of Columbus All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast will be Sunday, May 19 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at their hall on Stoney Batter. This full menu breakfast is $9 for Adults, $4 for children (under 12) and FREE for children under 6. All Mothers eat for free. Come and enjoy a great breakfast prepared by our Knights of Columbus!

SENIOR BREAKFAST All 2019 graduating seniors and their families are invited to the Senior Appreciation Breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters. It will be held on Sunday, May 19 following the 8 am Mass in the school cafeteria. KINDERGARTEN AND PRE-K REGISTRATION FOR 2019-2020 Please call Tina in the school office if you would like to register your child for our Kindergarten or Pre-K Program for next school year. Children must be five years old before September 1, 2019 to be eligible for Kindergarten. Children must be three or four years old before Septem-ber 1, 2019 to be eligible for the three-year-old and four-year-old Pre-K Program, respectively. Our three-year-old Pre-K class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. There are two options for our four-year-old class: 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

Limited openings are still available. Registration forms can be found online at www.saintjohnsch.net. Please call Mrs. Wendt in the school office for more information or to schedule a tour.

DRAMA NIGHT St. John School has started a Drama Club, comprised of 4th and 5th grade students. All Parishioners are invited to attend their debut performance on Sunday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the school Auditorium. You won’t want to miss this performance!

DEDICATION On May 13th there will be a brief dedication of the picnic area in front of the school in memory of Marian Wayne. It will follow the May Crowning.
