Heavenly Father, We could never thank our military men and women enough for their cou-rageous service and sacrifice to our country and its people. Show us ways in our communities, churches, and families to thank and love them better. Keep and protect these heroes and their
families, in the powerful name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

“There are different gifts but the same Spirit, there are different ministries but the
same Lord . . . To each person the manifestation of the spirit is given for the
common good.” Every person is called to contribute to the liturgy in a manner suited to his or her unique talents. It takes the help of many people serving in a variety of differ-ent liturgical ministries to help the liturgy flow smoothly and enable the participation of the assem-bly. At the present time there is a serious need for volunteers in all ministries at St. Gerard’s. We invite you to prayerfully reflect on the gifts God has given you and consider volunteering your talents for one of our ministries.
Training: Training is provided to help you get started in all the listed ministries.
Scheduling: Liturgical ministers are scheduled at the Mass time of their preference as often as fits their schedule and are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled Mass begins.
Contact: Please see list of ministries, below. Call the leader of the ministry you are interested in to volunteer or for further information.

ALUMINUM POP TAB COLLECTION The POP TAB collection for 2017 – 2018, is in full swing and already our fellow parishioners have donated admirably. We hope to have another banner year. With the picnic season and outdoor activities before us, I’m sure there will be a lot of popping of libations in the coming months. Please save those POP
TABS for the Ronald McDonald Houses. See picture in the vestibule of last year’s bounty. We did good.
Thank you!
A special thank you for the beautiful Peace Lilly donated to St. Gerard's Mission Church by the Vallee Family
in memory of
Lillian B. Martin.
