Doherty Hall at St. Joseph Church, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and concluding at 11:30 a.m. If you wish to attend please contact either St. Gabriel Rectory (860-688-4905 or gabrielchurch.comcast.net) or St. Joseph Rectory (860-688-9566 or [email protected]) by February 20th, so sufficient copies of the program material will be available.

Defending Our Religious Liberty

Pope Francis has said: “Religion [cannot] be relegated to

the inner sanctum of personal life, without influence on

societal and national life (Evangelii Gaudium, 183). As

our leaders work to alter the health care mandate, may

they keep the common good of all Americans in the

forefront of their minds.

Saint Gabriel Memorial Fund It is customary and fitting to remember loved

ones who have died with memorial donations to

a favorite cause or charity. In this way, the

memory of the deceased is honored and a good work,

either civic or religious, is perpetuated. There are

numerous charities that have been traditionally designated

for such purpose.

We are grateful to the following who have donated to the

Saint Gabriel Memorial Fund in loving memory of:

members cooked for the upcoming ImmaCare

Shelter dinner, including two large trays for

the meal, vegetables and desserts! Thank you

to all families who donated food items for our

cooking!

Thank you also to all those who donated to

our Sock/Glove/Hat drive! Our tree was

quite full! Youth Group members packaged

up all items and they will be donated to the

homeless. In addition, we made Valentine

cards for Veterans in support of Windsor

Youth Services.

We are looking for 4 students to help serve at the

ImmaCare Shelter dinner on February 20th. This is a

great opportunity for Confirmation students still in need of

volunteer hours. Youth group leaders will provide rides to

to serve, please contact Group Leader, Mrs. Suzanne

Hawran, at [email protected] or 860-508-7520.
