Saint-Gobain Electrical Insulation Tapes ChemFilm® TH Series Polyimide Films Polyimide films provide excellent electrical, thermal, physical and chemical properties over a wide temperature range in a lightweight package, making them a superior choice for rigorous electrical insulation applications. FEP Coating and Lamination from the world's foremost Fluoropolymer processor allows for high temperature adhesion in demanding aplpications. CHR® Primary Low Modulus FEP Tape 2355-2ER Primary Low Modulus FEP Tape 2355-2ER is a very durable and versatile product. The silicone adhesive system provides the highest temperature resistance in a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. The FEP backing also offers excellent high temperature resistance, with some of the highest electrical strength values in volts per mil. The FEP backing is chemically inert, thin and very “stretchy,” allowing for tight wrapping on the conductor and copper sleeves. Up to six layers of 2355-2ER will be wrapped around the strands and butt spliced with 1/2" overlap, allowing for no air gaps. CHR® High Temperature Modulus PTFE Tape 2242-5ER High Temperature Modulus PTFE Tape 2242-5ER is a very durable product with high dielectric strength. Its acrylic adhesive system provides some of the highest bond strengths in a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, especially when wrapped upon itself. The PTFE backing is chemically inert and offers excellent high temperature resistance, a high modulus providing mechanical protection and a high dielectric breakdown strength of 14,000 volts. This high modulus PTFE tape is wrapped over FEP tape (such as 2255-2ER) and binds strands together, seals termination points and offers mechanical protection. CHR® Fiberglass Protection Tape 2905-7R Fiberglass Protection Tape 2905-7R is a very tough product offering mechanical protection including cut-through resistance. Its two-sided silicone adhesive provides the highest temperature resistance in a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and a very strong bond when wrapped upon itself. The 2905-7R fiberglass backing has a high tensile strength and excellent electrical strength measured in volts per mil. This tape is wrapped over layers of PTFE tapes (such as 2242-5ER) to provide protection and padding between insulated conductors and armouring tape. Features/Benefits • Continuous operation to 204°C • Properties support field splicing • High-performance substrates • ISO certified plants and processes • Global presence and local service • Lightweight (<1.4 oz/yd2) Electrical Submersible Pump Splicing Tapes Our tapes are perfectly matched to the characteristics of high-end power cables and motor lead extensions used in ESP systems Saint-Gobain electrical insulation tape provides superior electrical, thermal, physical and chemical properties that make them ideal in the rigorous Electrical Submersible Pump systems environment.
