The proposal is a contemporary residence for a young family with children, designed with space for play and space for entertaining. The three bedroom flat is a blend of mid-century influences from East and West. A playful space for adults and children, the flat is organised around a large open plan living space. The vaulted ceiling blends seamlessy into integrated bookshelves with a television and media cabinet.

dining room
The Point Grey House project is located in the north bay of Vancouver, Canada. The plot looking towards the bay is pretty narrow compared to the adiacent plots, but the client didn’t want to renounce to a big and luxury villa for their holidays, facing the ocean. From the south facade the entrance is at the ground level, whereas the ocean side opens up to a roof terrace in front of the basement level. In order to allow big interior spaces, the stairs are linear and narrow and define the diagonal vector, which gives dinamicity to the experience of the space. In every floor big cut outs allow double height in correspondance of living spaces. In this way the proportion of the living and lounge areas will expande the space towards the ceiling and skylights above. At the first floor, the masterbedroom has a wide angle view on the bay, a large ensuite and a big walk-in closet. At the entrance of the room, a window on the double height above the dining space, creates a visual connection with the ground floor. At the ground floor the main living area looks down towards the lounge space at the basement floor, which opens up to a terrace facing the ocean. On the rooftop another big terrace is designed to enjoy the view of the ocean and the warm sun during summer time.

Designed for Hong Kong - Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of 2013 the Bamboo Micro-Housing project is a form of transitional housing for the 280,000+ residents living in the city without permanent housing. Inexpensive, sustainable, quick to assemble, the micro-housing is proposed for the interior of industrial buildings in Hong Kong and similar cities throughout south-east Asia. it is envisages as a temporary solution to house individuals, couple and families as they seek permanent forms of housing. Provided by the Government and not-for-profit organizations the housing utilizes disused industrial space in the city to provide housing at the centre not in rural areas away from transit, family and resources. The two storey residence was designed and built for the Hong Kong Biennale located at the Kwun Tong ferry Pier.

path to public and illegal housing in hong Kong
Built out of bamboo the house is meant to house an individual or couple and features a living area, kitchenette, bathroom, fold-out dining table, work area and sleeping quarters. The walls vary in pattern to provide more privacy or ventilation as needed and feature curved rattan pieces linking the walls and ceiling, providing sense of depth and connection between spaces in the small dwelling. The house was created in the belief that small scale affordable housing need not to be poor quality housing. Using local materials a modular system was developed which can meet the needs of the many without housing while costing little to construct in time and money.

‘Largo Residencias’ is a renewal project of an old factory of ‘azulejos’, the typical portuguese tiles, in the neighbourhood of
Largo do Intendente, Lisbon. The project aims to bring together exibitions, happening, artists
meeting, local comunity events, giving a new energy to the whole district of Intendente, which has been considered in the
last decades one of the most problematic in the city. The ground floor consists of wide open spaces to host common
activities of the comunity; the upper floors are redesigned to allow young artist and performers to find their private space. The challenge was to keep the same feeling of materials we
had when we first came to visit the factory. The smell of wood, the tactile feeling of the rough materials of the walls, is what
most inspired us to rethink of a new design of the rooms. Reuse was also a key-word to us, considering the low budget of the
collective, part of a NGO. Beds were made out of used fruit boxes assembled together; wardrobe were constructed from
the old wooden doors we found on site. The rooms reflect the natural feeling of the materials, there is no artificial effect; colors are neutral, so that every tone will be given from the artist when
he will ‘install’ his presence.

The Idea of a new layer in the city.
Shape is the least important aspect.Getting inspired from a Constant’s ima-ge of ‘Orient Sector’ (1959), we design a changeble, indefinite structure above
the train rails of Termini station This new layer of the city, is much more
than a new building. It’s a melting pot of urban changes, which eliminates
all segregation walls, in relation to the Lefebvre meaning.
Redesigning the historical areas around esquilino neighbourhood, is a process that takes start from the new designed
layer. All parkings are eliminated, getting rid of the most of the traffic, we try to focus urban dynamics in certain places, giving life to a liberated urban
action. In each area we suggest to get rid of
the physical boundaries, which nowa-days denies or limitate the access to
the monuments and historical garderns. Pavings are redesigned, giving the idea
of a City which can be permihated in a free way.
Squares become places.People get near to monuments.
Public spaces get filled with citizens. Citizenship grows.
i binari.

Site plan of Esquilino, Rome
The project is based on the rationalisation of traffic rails, making a differentiation between the primary ones for public transit and the secondary ones, with limited access. New green pedestrain roads are created to connect the existing parks and gardens in the esquilino neighbourhood, but also become a connection system between public spaces and archeological sites in the area.

design. the new circular stairway access, evoking geometric ele-ments of the park, is the threshold between outside and inside, ac-companying the visitor to explore the garden below, hitherto ‘secret’ and inaccessible.
the green caVewith reference to the classical dia-lectic between art and nature is restored the image of the cave, a theme ever present in the gardens of the compendium.the idea is to restore that image, creating a green skin, which can simultaneously solve the problems of noise near the high tech centers of the valley and allow a clear re-ading of the relationship between the existing parts of the garden and the new architectural object .the front facing the valley consists of two parts: the vertical green wall and the glass facade. the first, near the central technology, addresses the relationship with the vineyard adjacent to the cafeteria and the entry. the second, turning towards the garden and looking downstre-
the design of the new annex within the historic complex of Villa della Regina of Torino is inserted as the host of the recent completion of restoration work at the Villa della Regina, with the aim of restoring its close connection with the city of Turin.the new work, bringing to light the proportions of old Italian gardens, tends to emphasize the spatial re-lationships of symmetry and pro-portion that the complex had lost.
diVing doWnthe approach to the compendium can be interpreted as an introduc-tory course to the visit. the se-quence of events in the approach to the historical complex, opens up to a slow perception of space and give time to prepare for the view: the main entrance is designed so at the cover, allowing a last look at Torino and its mountains, thus em-phasizing the relationship between the villa and its cities and between this and the landscape. the project seeks entry into a dialogue with the seventeenth-century garden
am, looks like a contemporary clo-sing of the Villa. in this way the new sleeve is contaminated by the outer green, and blends with the surroun-dings. without adding extraneous volumes and elements to the Italian garden, the treatment of cover ma-terial is treated in full continuity with the historic routes, allowing maxi-mum flexibility of use, thus creating a new viewpoint, able to meet the needs of the new opening result of the complex. Avoiding inappropriate additions to the garden, an elevator lift has been built within the perime-ter of the project area, at a niche behind the existing annex that con-nects the compendium.
eVanescent modularitYgoing inside, you can see the garden and the fountain, reading the space through a diaphanous wall. the glass structure of the facade recalls the modular scanning that characterized the works of the Palace Chiablese. modular relationships once present on the ground floor are rebuilt. The proportions are found in the arches of the existing sleeve. in this way
there is a mending of the two adja-cent sides, which enclose together the garden with its strict geometry, providing a common perspective background. the new glass front cre-ate a dialogue with the surroundings through a subtle reference to order and proportion with the existing sle-eve. the glass wall allows the garden to permeate the interior, revealing, rather than showing. outdoors, the garden and the architectural context are reflected in the new glass buil-ding, made it so evanescent.

the project of the hall of Farewell takes inspiration from the river Reno that flows, leaving traces of its path and becoming a symbol of the short and un-stable period of time that people spend on the earth. the suggestion of water, with reflections of light rippling on the surface, is the start point of the design, where volumes take place onto the projection of the channel. the strength of the unceasing flow creates a dinamyc flow and gives shape to a system, that has no fixed relationship with the place, but generates continuous perceptions of an area in flux. rooms are boxes that are conceived on a system of other small boxes on the lower level, where everyone can live their emotion in more intimate space.
