Welcome to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish
Professing one Faith, one Lord, and one Baptism,
Our Lady of the Rosary Parish is a Roman Catholic
community of the people of God redeemed by Jesus Christ and sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Strengthened by Prayer, the Sacraments, and the Word, we seek to know Jesus Christ fully, to serve Him faithfully,
and to experience the transforming power of the
Holy Spirit. Through the Stewardship of our Time, Talent and Treasure, we strive to
minister to the spiritual and material needs of all God’s
Children. Empowered by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we proclaim the
Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ and
invite everyone to join us in the Kingdom of God where the
Justice, Peace, and Joy of Christ abound.

GOD IN ALL
In everything, be it a thing sensed, or a thing known,
God is hidden within. --St. Bonaventure
CALLED BY GOD
Today's scriptures invite us to listen to two calls. The first is the call issued by the LORD to the prophet Amos, the "shepherd and a dresser of sycamores" (Amos 7:14). The second is the call the Lord Jesus issued to the Twelve, whom he sent out "two by two" (Mark 6:7). These faithful people responded to the call, prophesying and preaching to the people to whom they had been sent. Each of us received a call when we were baptized. The second reading invites us to ponder that call as we are reminded that we are chosen in Christ and that, in love, God "destined us for adoption" (Ephesians 1:5). As adopted daughters and sons of God we are called to bring the presence of Christ into our marriages, families, schools, and places of work. Let us be inspired today to say yes to the call we hear once again through God's living word. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.

QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK -
First Reading The priest Amaziah of Bethel was not supportive of the prophet Amos. How do you react to the words of the Old Testament prophets?
Second Reading Today we hear the opening words of Paul's Letter to the Ephesians. This was likely one of the primitive hymns of the early Church. In what way is this really a Trinitarian hymn of praise?
Gospel Reading
Jesus commissioned the Twelve Apostles to preach repentance, exorcise demons, and heal the sick. How is this still the fundamental mission of the Church?
LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
Do you describe yourself as a holy person? For many, becom-ing holy may not be seen as a desirous goal. We are all called to be holy but maybe not in the way we often imagined. Holi-ness is nothing more than doing ordinary things with great love and faith. St. Teresa of Calcutta says, "Holiness is not something extraordinary. Holiness is for every one of us as a simple duty -- the acceptance of God with a smile, at all times, anywhere and everywhere." Holiness has to do with understanding that our faith has a lot to do with how we see and live life. It is that simple. Are you willing to go about the simple business of your life and be holy?

Music Ministry Our music ministry is on its “Summer Hiatus”. I am very grateful to all those who participate in our music ministry. They help our liturgies come alive with a “joyful noise”. Although we will not have rehearsals for our 9:30 and 11:30 choirs over the summer, you can feel free to contact me to find out about getting involved with the choir when we resume in the Fall. Additionally, our Children’s Choir (ages 5-11) and Junior Choir (11 and up), will resume starting in September. If you are interested in getting involved you can e-mail me at [email protected]. Our Resurrection Choir sings for funerals and is open to new members. We meet a half-hour before each funeral. No pre-vious experience necessary. If you are interested in this, you can call the parish office and leave me a message, or e-mail me at [email protected]. I came across this prayer for the Summer time which I’d like to share: Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer! Thank you for the warmth of the sun and the increased daylight. Thank You for the beauty I see all around me and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation. Thank You for the in-creased time I have to be with my friends and family, and for the more casual pace of the summer season. Draw me closer to You this summer. Teach me how I can pray no matter where I am or what I am doing. Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence and light my path with Your Word and Counsel. As I enjoy Your creation, create in me a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You. Amen.

Although diocesan priests ministered in Florida from an early date, the protomartyrs were members of three great religious orders: the Dominicans, the Jesuits, and the Fran-ciscans. The Dominicans, who had long been active in New
Spain, were rebuffed when they attempted to establish a peaceful mis-sion near Tampa Bay in 1549. The Jesuits, who were recruited by the adelantado Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, the founder of St. Augus-tine, had a brief, bloody, but glorious tenure in Florida (1566–1572). Their missions stretched around the peninsula of Florida and even up to the Chesapeake Bay. The first Franciscans arrived in Florida in 1573, and over the next two centuries they tirelessly ministered to the indige-nous population throughout northern Florida, eventually building a string of missions that stretched from St. Augustine to Pensacola. But in 1597 five Franciscans on the coastal islands of present-day Georgia perished for the faith as a result of a native uprising. The Catholic Church encourages the “practice of merciful love,” offering as a guide the corporal works of mercy, charitable acts for the common good and basic human welfare. These actions are rooted in our love
for the Lord, and as Jesus tells us, knowing that whatever we do for the most vulnerable among us we do for Him. Pantry Hours: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9 am -11:30 am. For assistance Contact (813)949-6094

OLOR Stations of the Cross Eagle Project:
https://polarengraving.com/bsatroop33lol My name is Spencer Huffman and I am a Boy Scout with OLOR Troop 33. I am trying to earn the highest rank of Eagle. To become an Eagle rank, I need to demonstrate significant leadership through designing and conducting a service project that will benefit and enhance the community that it is placed in.
“Way of The Cross Garden”, the Stations of the Cross pathway is an uneven grass dirt path, riddled with roots that may cause parishioners and visitors to trip and lose their footing. My pro-ject will benefit those who walk the path by creating a safer, smoother and comfortable walkway that will enhance the already natural beauty surrounding the Stations of the Cross.
This Eagle project will encompass creating a crushed shell path-way that will wind through and in front of each Station of the Cross. The path will be three feet wide, three inches in depth and will run a total of 600 feet, forming an oval shape and will cost approximately $5000. Anything worth remembering was written in stone (Exodus 31:18).
Pavers will fund all the materials for the path. The pavers can be purchased for $100 and provide a way to permanently offer remembrance, celebration, or recognition to loved ones. Pavers are limited, you can select your favorite station number location and buy a special $20 Keepsake Replica tile for personal or gift.
In order to successfully complete this project, I respectfully ask for your prayers, support, and donations. Please consider the purchase of a paver(s) and replica(s) or giving whatever you can to make this project possible.
All your help is deeply appreciated. God bless you always.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and support. Please give what you can!
