    1. GNESE DO PROJECTO. QUANDO? PORQU? COMO?

    O Projecto Creative Grammar Workshop (Oficina de Gramtica Criativa)

    surgiu, no presente ano lectivo, na sequncia de uma experincia didctica

    introduzida ainda no ano lectivo de 2007/2008 e implementada, de forma

    sistemtica e regular, ao longo do ano lectivo de 2008/2009, nas aulas de

    Ingls das turmas do segundo ano dos Cursos de Educao e Formao.

    A avaliao diagnstica e formativa nessas turmas permitiu constatar que

    os alunos evidenciavam muitas dificuldades nas competncias relacionadas

    com o domnio da lngua inglesa (no domnio e aplicao de vocabulrio e de

    estruturas gramaticais fundamentais, na leitura, escrita e oralidade). Por outro

    lado, os alunos revelavam uma atitude particularmente negativa pela

    aprendizagem da gramtica, que consideravam difcil e desinteressante.

    Considerando a grande quantidade de estudos que demonstram a importncia

    de uma actividade sistemtica e reflexiva sobre o funcionamento da lngua no

    desenvolvimento da leitura, da escrita e da oralidade (Costa, 2003), tornou-se

    prioritrio intervir nesta rea. Entre as estratgias implementadas, uma revelou-

    se especialmente produtiva, quer no domnio, aplicao e uso em contexto das

    estruturas trabalhadas quer no desenvolvimento de uma atitude positiva face

    aprendizagem do Ingls, em geral, e ao estudo da gramtica, em particular: a

    Oficina de Gramtica Criativa.

    Sendo a promoo do sucesso e do interesse dos alunos pela

    aprendizagem da lngua inglesa a finalidade ltima que esteve na gnese

    dessa experincia didctica, era imprescindvel auscultar a opinio dos alunos

    relativamente mesma. Assim, no final do ano lectivo de 2008/2009, foi

    elaborado e passado aos alunos envolvidos (as turmas dos CEF do 2ano), um

    questionrio escrito annimo. A anlise dos resultados permitiu constatar que a

    maioria dos alunos inquiridos revelava uma opinio muito positiva da oficina e

    do impacto da mesma na sua aprendizagem e aproveitamento na disciplina de

    Ingls.

    Em reunies de sub-departamento de Ingls-Alemo, as dificuldades nas

    competncias relacionadas com o domnio da lngua e a falta de interesse de

    alguns alunos foram diagnosticadas como causas de insucesso na disciplina de

    Ingls, nos vrios nveis de ensino.

    A conjugao dos factores acima enunciados criou em ns a vontade de

    levar a experincia da Oficina de Gramtica Criativa a um pblico de alunos

    mais alargado.

    Proposto pelo sub-departamento de Ingls-Alemo, com a colaboraoBiblioteca Escolar, as actividades do projecto foram desenvolvidas, no

    presente ano lectivo, em contexto de sala de aula, articuladas com o programa

    curricular da disciplina, e, por vezes, no espao da Biblioteca Escolar.

    2. BREVE DESCRIO DO PROJECTO

    2.1. PRESSUPOSTOS TERICO-PRTICOS

    Tendo como fonte de inspirao a obra e respectiva abordagem terico-

    prtica ao ensino da gramtica de dois reputados autores e professores de

    Ingls como Lngua Estrangeira Gnter Gerngross e Herbert Puchta - procura

    adoptar-se uma abordagem holstica e criativa do ensino da gramtica. Cada

    lio/ sesso foca uma determinada estrutura gramatical e tem por objectivo

    ajudar os alunos a ancorar essa estrutura na memria de longo prazo, atravs

    de um processo que culmina com a criao de textos imaginativos e

    memorveis. Gerngross e Puchta utilizam o termo memorable, numa dupla

    acepo: o que facilmente se memoriza e memorvel, como resultado de

    uma aprendizagem cognitiva e afectivamente construda (Gerngrss &

    Puchta,1992). Os textos criados pelos alunos revelam frequentemente algo

    do seu mundo interior e do seu universo cultural e pessoal.

    2.2. FINALIDADES

    Fomentar uma atitude de abertura e interesse face aprendizagem do

    Ingls;

    Contribuir para o sucesso escolar dos alunos disciplina de Ingls; Contribuir para o desenvolvimento integral dos alunos, nos domnios

    cognitivo, afectivo e social.

    2.3. OBJECTIVOS

    Incentivar a criatividade e a imaginao dos alunos no uso da lngua

    inglesa, com respeito pelas regras do seu funcionamento;

    Tornar o estudo da gramtica inglesa mais interessante, fcil e divertido; Alargar e aprofundar o repertrio lexical e gramatical dos alunos;

    Desenvolver a capacidade dos alunos brincarem e experimentarem

    com a lngua inglesa;

    Incrementar o gosto pela leitura e (re)escrita de textos poticos;

    Estimular a interaco com o texto como forma de descoberta e

    expresso do universode cada um.

    2.4. PBLICO-ALVO

    Turmas do 1 ano dos Cursos de Educao e Formao, Electricidade

    de Instalaes e Prticas Administrativas.

    Alunos de Ingls das turmas do 10 ano do ensino profissional, 10H e

    10I.

    Turmas do 7ano: 7C,D eE.

    Turma do 9ano: 9D.

    You know youre stronger than them.

    Youve won.
