ATTENDANCE
• It is very important for students to be at school every day.
• We start learning right away, so tardies can become a problem.
• There are many incentives to be at school!
Discipline
• Green Homework Folders go home every night. Please check for marks and good behavior. Please sign so I know you have seen it.
• Students try to earn tickets daily and can move UP the behavior chart by following the contract.
• Check the back of the behavior chart for how the conduct grade is figured.

• Social Contracts developed by classroom– How do you want to be treated by
me?– How do you want to be treated by
each other?– How do you think I want to be
treated by you?– How should we treat each other
when there is conflict?
Discipline
• Procedures/Routineshelp us make sure we are where we are supposed to be, doing what we are supposed to be doing– Mornings– Hallway– Lunch/recess– Afternoon dismissal– Specials
Homework
• Homework is sent home on Monday in the green folder and is due by Friday.
• Homework is a great way to build responsibility and independence in the students.
• Graded papers go home on Tuesday in the purple ACTON folder. Please return the purple folder by Thursday.

Snacks
• Snacks– Finger foods (no spoon required)– Not messy (we work while we are
snacking – gets on books/papers)• Water Bottles
– Water only– Not too large with a sport top
Birthdays and Lunches
• If you would like to join your child for lunch, just check in at the office and have lunch on the stage. Our lunch time: 11:45-12:15
• We are allowed to have birthday celebrations with only store bought items (preferably cupcakes). You can send or drop them off. We will celebrate at the very end of the day.
Involvement
• I do encourage all parents to get involved in the things going on at school. For example: Back to School Picnic, Book Fair, Music Programs, Volunteering, Field Trips.
