My Dear Parishioners:
Welcome back to Ordinary Time! How beautiful the Christmas Season has been in our parish. No we return to the ordinary flow of our lives.
This ordinary time is truly a holy time because it is in every day life that we grow in following the Will of God for us. It is in the routine of life where we practice fidelity to the tasks God has called us to in our family, work, and vocation.
In the Gospel this Sunday Our Lord performs His first miracle of changing water into wine at a wedding feast by the invitation of His holy mother. In this ordinary time, if we invite Him Christ can change our everyday life of working out our desk, dropping off the kids, cooking supper into something holy that pleases God and prepares our soul for eternity with Him.
Let us ask our mother Mary daily in the rosary to intercede for us as she did at Cana so that Christ will perform extraordinary miracles in our ordinary time.
