Carmel area: Victim reported a residen-tial burglary that took place between March25 at 1200 hours and March 26 at 0800 hours.No suspect information.

Carmel area: Person reported a suspi-cious subject climbing over a fence of a resi-dence under construction. Area check wasmade and nothing suspicious located.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Female subject, age43, was arrested at the Crossroads shoppingcenter at 0212 hours on a felony no-bail war-rant and a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant. Shewas lodged at county jail.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Person called toreport a voluntary repossession he processedon Junipero Street. The vehicle was enteredinto the stolen vehicle system as a reposses-sion. Nothing further.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine andambulance were on scene at Camino Real andEighth due to cooking smoke and the failureof the staff to activate the hood fan. Search ofthe premises showed no other problems, so allunits cleared and returned to the station.

Materials determined tobe sheetrock dust which was washed off oftools at a construction site east of the spill.Spill was contained to the entrance of thestorm drain, assisted by a thick layer of dirtinside the storm drain. Firefighters appliedabsorbent to standing liquid inside the stormdrain and notified the building inspector.Building inspector was to contact publicworks to remove the absorbed product andexcess dirt from the storm drain. He was alsogoing to contact the contractor to clean thestain left by the flow of the product from thejob site.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine andambulance responded to a reported structurefire on Dolores south of Seventh at 1856hours. Upon arrival, units were updated byFireComm to respond to the west side ofForest south of Seventh, arriving at 1902hours. Firefighters discovered a plastic trashbin on fire, the result possibly from sponta-neous combustion from oily rags. The firewas extinguished by a neighbor and fire per-sonnel. This was determined to be an acciden-tal fire.

ambulance responded to reported smoke inthe area of Casanova between Ocean andFourth avenues. At scene, firefighters founddrift smoke from a fireplace fire. No hazards.

Carmel area: Mother advised her daugh-ter she was moving her from the main resi-dence into the guest residence. Daughterbecame upset and started pushing her mother,who was trying to call 911. Parties separatedand mother refused to prosecute her daughter.

Carmel area: Victim reported herboyfriend physically abused her after she vol-untarily went to his residence. The victim hasa restraining order against her boyfriend forpast domestic violence.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A citizen reported awelfare check on a dog in a parked vehicle onLincoln Street. Attempts were made to contactthe owner. While checking the area, the ownerreturned to the vehicle and information wasobtained. The owner was advised that accessto water is needed at all times. The dog wasvery old; however, the dog was not in distressat the time of the officer’s observation due tobeing in the vehicle. A warning was given.
