� Apply understanding of punctuation marks such as full stop, comma, question mark and exclamation mark
� Understand the differences between phrases, sentences, paragraphs and passages
� Comprehend the main message of a paragraph
� Read and comprehend age-appropriate story books
� Read accurately with the help of Hanyu Pinyin

General Tips for Parents
� Take some time to go through your child’s work with them on a regular basis. Revision is important so that they strengthen their foundation and do not repeat their mistakes. Use the school materials as resources.
� Give them time and space to learn, not just for exams. Make learning alive.
� Encourage your child to sleep early and have a good breakfast everyday for better learning.
