WHAT IS MINIMAL PAIR?
Minimal pairs are pairs of words orphrases in a particular language,which differ in only one phonological
element (phone, phoneme) and havea dictinct meaning.
They are used to demonstrate that
two phones constitute two separatephonemes in the language.
