Guest Speaker
Megan Papas
Megan left Nayland College in 2003 to study at the New Zealand Broadcasting School in Christchurch. After two years she secured a scholarship to join The Radio Network in Auckland as a technical producer for commercials and radio imaging. In 2008, after filling in on breakfast radio’s Hip Hop and RnB station ‘Flava’, Megan joined Fletch and Vaughan on The Edge as their producer and newsreader. From there she moved onto the breakfast show with JJ, Mike, and Dom for two years, before heading back to join Fletch and Vaughan on the drive show. Megan has also fronted her own show on The Edge from 12-3pm and been the corporate voice for the Edge. Now Megan co-hosts the ZM breakfast show with Fletch and Vaughan. This year, Megan expanded her portfolio to include hosting her own television show called “Glow Up NZ”. Megan and her husband have been running their our own cafe in Auckland, learning how to navigate a small business through a pandemic and now that is sold, they are looking forward to their first baby arriving in February.
God Defend New Zealand
Kia tau to atawhai;
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our free land.
Guard Pacific’s triple star,
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand
