—Haggai 2:9
A mortgage is just one way our congregation proves faithful over the resources God is providing. By cushioning the impact of ever-increasing facility costs by spreading that cost over several years, the church can continue the vital work of ministry as well as maintain and improve the spaces and places where that ministry can be done. Here at New Pilgrim we are now moving into a new mortgage for our new $4.2 million Pavilion Family Life Center. We have already given and invested over $700,000.00 in the design, planning, and engineering for the Pavilion. Those resources have brought us, with God’s help, to where we are now: ready to step up our giving to meet the mortgage AND to give above and beyond to begin renovations on the roof and sanctuary. Let’s not be distracted nor deterred. The best is yet to come, for we’ve only just begun! We have wisely and prudently used your gifts to the glory of God and for the good of the humanity. The members and other supporters of New Pilgrim continue to share by bringing His tithes and their offerings so that the work may move forward. To God be the glory. Let me thank each Pilgrim and other supporter of this great work; and let me encourage us all to get on board by honoring our commitments to tithing, giving, and paying our pledges. Each of must do not only our part, but do just a bit more as God gives us strength. Don’t fret for what you cannot do; just do what God blesses you to do. Do what you can. And let’s watch God use this mortgage to minister to our faith as we minister to the last, the least and the lost…..
