Our body will be given the complete wash (ghusl’)


Our body will be wrapped or shrouded (kafan)


Our body will be prayed (solat) over before burial


Our body will be transported to the cemetery


Our body will be lowered into the grave


Our body will be placed in a niche in the grave


The grave will be covered with earth


Du’a (supplications) by family and friends before being left on our own (alone) with whatever provisions (good or bad deeds).


Our physical remains will be in the grave while our soul awaits in intermediary spiritual world (‘alam barzakh) awaiting

the Day of resurrection
