““And recite to them, [O Muhammad], the news of And recite to them, [O Muhammad], the news of him him

to whom we gave [knowledge of] Our signs, but he to whom we gave [knowledge of] Our signs, but he

“And if We had willed, we could have elevated him

thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and

followed his own desire. So his example is like that of

the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him,

he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who

denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they

will give thought.”

(Qur’an: A’raf: 7: 176 )

Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an. These people are the Jews. Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an. These people are the Jews.

((Narrate unto them the history (of the men of old)Narrate unto them the history (of the men of old)) recite to ) recite to

them the Qur'an, (them the Qur'an, (that haply they may take thoughtthat haply they may take thought) that haply ) that haply

““Allah then mentioned the harm that the unbelievers inflicted on

the Prophet and his Companions, saying: (Assuredly ye will be

tried) you will be tested (in your property) by the loss of your

property (and in your persons) and in what befalls your persons

of sicknesses, pain, killings, beatings and general misfortunes,

(and ye will hear much wrong from those who were given the

Scripture before you) i.e. the Jews and Christians: you will hear

vilification, defamation, lies and false testimony against Allah,

(and from the idolaters) i.e. the Arab idolaters….”



““…. (But if ye persevere) in the face of their harm (and ward off

(evil)) and ward off transgressing against Allah while facing such

harm, (then that) steadfastness and endurance (is of the

steadfast heart of things) is the best of things and the most firm

for believers.””




““And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a

covenant from those who were given the Scripture, covenant from those who were given the Scripture,

[saying], "[saying], "You must make it clear to the people and You must make it clear to the people and

““Then Allah mentioned His covenant with the people of the Book

in the Scripture, which required them to exposit the traits and

description of His Prophet, saying: (And (remember) when Allah

laid a charge on those who had received the Scripture) i.e. the

Torah and the Gospel ((He said): Ye are to expound it) the trait

and description of Muhammad (to mankind and not to hide it)

not to hide these traits and description of Muhammad in their

Scripture….”



“…. (But they flung it behind their backs) and did not act upon it

(and bought thereby a little gain) a paltry acquisition in their

means of living by hiding the traits and description of

Muhammad in their Scripture. (Verily evil is that which they have

gained thereby) evil is that which they have chosen for

themselves: Judaism and the concealment of the traits and

description of Muhammad..””




““And never think that And never think that those who rejoice in what those who rejoice in what

they have perpetrated and like to be praised for they have perpetrated and like to be praised for

what they did not do what they did not do - never think them [to be] in - never think them [to be] in

safety from the punishment, and safety from the punishment, and for them is a for them is a

“Allah then mentioned their longing for praise and credit for that

which they-the Jews-did not have, saying: (Think not) suppose not, O

Muhammad (that those who exult in what they have given) whereby

they changed the traits and description of Muhammad in their

Scripture, (and love to be praised for what they have not done) they

like that people say they have good in them when they do not. They

like that people say that they are follower of the Religion of Abraham

and that they are good to the poor. (Think not) O Muhammad, (they

are in safety from the doom. A painful doom is theirs) a severe

torment shall be theirs.””




““And to Allah belongs the dominion And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens of the heavens

and the earth, and Allah is over all things and the earth, and Allah is over all things

competent (Ever-Powerful).competent (Ever-Powerful).

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the

earth and the alternation of the night and the day earth and the alternation of the night and the day

are are signs for those of understandingsigns for those of understanding.”.”

““Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire -

You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers

there are no helpers.there are no helpers.

Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to

faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have

believed. believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and

remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die

with the righteouswith the righteous.”.”

Muhammad, son of ‘Abdullah; Muhammad, son of ‘Abdullah;

and upon his Household and Companions, and upon his Household and Companions,

and all who follow and are loyal to him and all who follow and are loyal to him

(and support him in his cause).(and support him in his cause).

MUHAM-MAD – IB- NU - ‘AB – DIL-LAAH

WA – ‘ALAA – AA – LI-HI - WA - SWOH – BIHI - WA - MAN –

TABI - ’AHU – WA WAA - LAH


ROB-BANAA- AN-FA’-NAA -BI-MAA- ‘AL-LAM-TA-NAA

O our Lord! Make us to benefit from what You have taught us.


ROB-BI –’AL-LIM- NAL- LA-DzEE- YAN-FA- ‘U-NA

O Lord! Teach us whatever that is beneficial for us.


ROB-BI –FAQ-QIH-NAA -WA -FAQ-QIH – AH-LA-NAA

O Lord! Grant upon us profound understanding,

(as also grant upon) our family members..


WA –QO-RAA-BAA-TIN-LA-NAA -FEE -DEE-NI-NAA

MA-’ A -AH-LIL-QUTw-RI- UN-THA - WA DzA-KAR

And also to those in the Faith who are close to us ,

Amongst fellow citizens, the female and the male.


ALLAA-HUM-MAJ- ’AL-NAA - HAA-DEE-NAA - MUH-TA-DEEN

O Allah! Make us to be people who guide (others) and

who are (always) guided (by Your Guidance) .


GHOY-RA- DwAA-L-LEE-NA WA LAA- MU-DwIL-LEENGHOY-RA- DwAA-L-LEE-NA WA LAA- MU-DwIL-LEEN

Not of those who are astray and who lead people astray.Not of those who are astray and who lead people astray.


ALLAA-HUM - MAH-DI-NAA BI – HU-DAAK

O Allah! Guide us all with Your Guidance.


WAJ-’AL-NAA MIM-MAN - YU-SAA - RI-’U – FEE - RI-DwAAK

And make us people who hasten towards what pleases You.


WA- LAA TUWAL-LI-NAA - WA-LIY-YAN SI-WAAKWA- LAA TUWAL-LI-NAA - WA-LIY-YAN SI-WAAK

And do not let us be protected (by others) except And do not let us be protected (by others) except

only with Your Protection (as our Guardian).only with Your Protection (as our Guardian).


WA- LAA TAJ-’AL –NAA - MIM-MAN - KHAA-LAFA WA- LAA TAJ-’AL –NAA - MIM-MAN - KHAA-LAFA

AM-RAKA WA- ‘A- SwAAKAM-RAKA WA- ‘A- SwAAK

And do not make us to be of those who differ from And do not make us to be of those who differ from

Your command and are disobedient towards You.Your command and are disobedient towards You.


WA- HAS - BU-NALLAA-HU - WA NI’-MAL - WA-KEELWA- HAS - BU-NALLAA-HU - WA NI’-MAL - WA-KEEL

And sufficient is Allah for us, for He is the Best Protector.And sufficient is Allah for us, for He is the Best Protector.


WA- LAA HAW- LA -WA –LAA -QUW-WATA - IL-LAA WA- LAA HAW- LA -WA –LAA -QUW-WATA - IL-LAA

BIL-LAA – HIL - ‘ALEE-YIL - ‘A-ZEEMBIL-LAA – HIL - ‘ALEE-YIL - ‘A-ZEEM

And there is no power nor strength except with Allah And there is no power nor strength except with Allah

The Most High, the Most Esteem.The Most High, the Most Esteem.


WA- SwOL-LALLAA-HU- ‘ALAA SAY-DI-NAA - MUHAMMADIN

WA ‘ALAA – AA-LIHI -WA SwOH-BI-HI - WA-SAL-LAM

and Companions .
