Spanish Language and DELE (DELE - Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) Preparation Online Courses School of Humanities New online preparation courses for the DELE exams These new online courses are aimed at prospective candidates for the DELE exams. They will cover the di erent pro ciency levels described by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Who are the courses for? Although the courses are aimed at familiarising learners with the format of the DELE exams, they also help to prepare you where a particular level of pro ciency in Spanish is needed such as working or living abroad, support for other university courses and primary school language policies. What is the fee? The fee per course is £250. When do they run? The courses will run twice a year in September and February and will last 15 weeks. How is the course taught? The course will be delivered online although to improve your oral skills, some group sessions will be conducted via Skype. You’ll be able to choose your own timetable and the only thing you need is the use of a computer with access to the Internet. The computer platform used for these online courses is moodle, which is very user-friendly. It allows a frequent and personalised interaction between tutor and learners, and amongst the learners themselves. All the materials will be provided and available in moodle at the start of the course. These include a variety of exercises and activities: reading comprehension, productive writing, listening comprehension, role-plays, a student forum, external links, etc. Will I get a certificate? When the course is completed, you’ll receive a certi cate of attendance. If you decide to sit the exam at Strathclyde, within the following six months, you’ll receive a 10% discount on the exam fee.
