My Learning – Grades

This page lists all of the courses you have registered for, and the status of each course.

Collapsed View

Expanded View

When this page is open, the default view is for each course to be collapsed. Clicking on the “+” sign to the left of the course name will expand the view and show more details about that course.

When expanded, individual lesson titles will appear under the course title. The “Lesson” column gives the status of a particular lesson in a course.

The “Score” column repeats the results found in the “Lesson” column. The “Elapsed Time” is

the amount of time you have spent on a particular lesson, and the “Activity Date” is when you last accessed a particular lesson.

Similar to the “My Learning – View Courses

and Events” page, by clicking on the link in the “Certificate” column you may print a copy of your Certificate of Completion.

A transcript cannot be printed from this page. The “Completed On”

column shows the initial time that all lessons in a course were completed.

Note, since it is possible to go back into a completed

lesson or course, the “Completed On” date may

be earlier than the “Activity Date”.

To collapse a course and see less detail, click on the “-“ to the left of the course title. Unlike the “My Learning – View Courses and Events” page, you cannot start or

continue a course by clicking on the course title.

Taking a Course – Opening Window

To start or resume a course, after you login go to “My Learning – View Courses and Events” and click on the title of the course that you want to start or resume.

View of Opened Course

To being or resume a course you will need to select a

lesson. You must complete the lessons in the order that they appear. You will not be able to

access a lesson unless you have completed all previous

lessons.

Links to access Notes and to end your session are in the

upper right corner. As shown in previous instructions, notes taken during the course will also be accessible after you close the course. Choosing “Exit Course” automatically

saves your progress. The next time you open the lesson you will be asked if you would like to start from the beginning or

resume where you left off. Note, choosing starts from the beginning deletes any progress

that you made previously.

Taking a Course – Active Course Window Below is similar to the window you will see once you are inside a course.

Clicking on “Player Controls” will open a demonstration of how to navigate through the course window. Clicking on “FAQ” will

open answers to many eLearning questions.

These arrow buttons will allow you to navigate between

slides, pausing, moving back and moving forward. You may pause a course at any time. You may also go back and review previous slides. You cannot advance past slides that you have not viewed.

The progress bar shows you what slide you are currently

viewing and the total number of slides in the

lesson. (ex. SLIDE 1 OF 40). The times at the end of the

progress bar refer to the current slide. (ex.

00:23/00:43). When a slide is finished, you will need to advance to the next slide by clicking the forward arrow

button.

Note: Earlier courses indicate that you may rewind a screen by dragging the arrow or bar

backwards. This is not possible.

Most slides contain audio. Clicking on the speaker button will allow you to adjust

the volume within the course window.

Before adjusting this button, you should

make sure your computer speakers are connected and

turned on.

Taking a Course – Conclusion

For each lesson, you will be required to complete at least one quiz at the end of the lesson. For all quizzes within a lesson, you must answer all questions correctly before you can move forward to the next slide, next lesson, or complete the course. After an initial attempt at a quiz, you may review the quiz to see the correct answers, and you may retry the quiz an unlimited number of times. The following screen is similar to what will appear when a quiz had been successfully completed and you are ready to move on. There will not be an additional slide with further instructions. At this point you can click on the title of the next lesson (available in the list along the left side of the screen), exit the course to resume later, or exit the course to print your Certificate of Completion. When printing your Certificate of Completion, if the certificate prints without your personal information or any course details, look for a bar near the top of the certificate that reads, “This PDF document might not display correctly” with an option for “Open with different viewer”. Clicking on this option should allow you to open the certificate in a format that will print correctly.
