  • Red Nose Day What a fantastic morning we had today celebrating Red Nose Day. There were lots of hilarious entries to the funniest selfie competition which you can see on the whole school community on the school website but the winner was Seren Brammer. Well done Seren. Runners up were Finlay Tong, Mac Grant, Jessica Dwyer, and Ellis Challinor. The winner of the cake decoration competition was Amelie Marshall and runners up were the Kellehers and Dan Wilson. This in itself was a very difficult competition to judge as the standard (and taste!) of the entries was so good. Thank you to everyone for your amazing efforts.

At this point we dont know how much we have raised but the total will be on next weeks newsletter. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out in anyway especially Mrs Rogers and the school council who put a lot of work in.

  • PTA Mothers Day Raffle The winners of the raffle were:

Hummingbirds Hannah Williams Goldfinches Macey Turley Sparrows Daisy Beacall Wrens Ben Maton Robins Jasmine Winder

Our thanks as always go to the PTA members who organised the raffle which raised 93 for the PTA. Parents Evening Dont forget to sign up for your parents evening appointment on Monday 23 or Wednesday 25 March. Year 3 and 4 Football Tournament Two teams represented the school at this weeks Year 3 and 4 tournament held at Blacon High school. Although we didnt get past the group stages the children really enjoyed themselves and showed that we have some very promising young footballers. Well done!

Young Voices The Young Voices concert in Manchester last week starring the St Oswalds choir was a huge success with both the children and parents having a great time. It was lovely to see the smiles on the childrens faces as they sang their hearts out and danced throughout the show. There was some very impressive dancing from the parents that we saw (and some members of staff so Im told). Once again the children of St Oswalds were a credit to the school with their enthusiasm and conduct. We now have to think about whether we go again next year or do this event bi-annually. Some pictures below.
