Easter Sunday April 16, 2017

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Alleluia! He is Risen! I pray that the light of Christ’s Resurrection will shine on you and your families this day. Please also join me in congratulating those who joined our Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults this Easter. Welcome to you all!

We always give thanks to God for the gift of our life and the beauty of cre-ation that surrounds us. Today, on this Easter morning, we offer special praise to the Lord Jesus Christ for setting us free from the grip of the enemy whose strength we could not match. Christ has freed us from death, and clothed us with immortality. Therefore, as we hear in the words of Psalm 136, let us praise the Lord for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

Wishing you a very happy and blessed Easter season, I am

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend John R. Gaydos

Bishop of Jefferson City
