You’re invited to become a member of Pack 540 (EST. 1976 - St. Ambrose) Cub Scouts is an adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Membership is open to both Boys and Girls, from Kindergarten through 5
th Grade, as well as their
parents/guardians/grandparents/aunts/uncles, to join us right here at St. Ambrose; our community. By welcoming both Boys and Girls into the program, single gender Dens, now even more youth have access to the Scouts BSA character development and values-based program.
Scouting gives parents/guardians and their children an opportunity to make memories together, while also making new friends. Scouting parents/guardians are the adult volunteers who work together to run the program; the material is available to plan activities, events, meetings, special outings, etc. And so, their involvement in the Pack is essential for the success of their child(ren) and the Pack Unit. By being involved to serve as a Leader in the Pack, oversee fundraising efforts, assisting the Leaders to coordinate events, going camping as a whole family, or celebrating the Scouts achievement by earning awards, they help the kids develop skills and character traits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Tour of Federal Reserve Bank and Czech Center Museum Parishioners 50 years and older. Join us on Thursday, September 26, as the Golden Youth Club of St. Ambrose will be taking a bus trip to visit the Federal Reserve Bank and Czech Center Museum. We will leave St. Ambrose at 9:30 am. A tour through the Federal Reserve in Houston promises a cultured morning as guests will get the chance to walk through history. The Houston branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas was completed several years ago and features information about how the Federal Reserve was started, role of the Fed and monetary policy. The Houston branch is the distribution center for more than $1 billion in cash for the region. Lunch will be dutch treat at Cleburne's Cafeteria. Following lunch we will visit the Czech Center Museum for a tour. The Czech Center Museum Houston provides unique education experiences based on authentic objects, art, music, stories and lives of Czechs, Slovaks and people of all cultures who left their country to seek liberty and democracy in America. We should be back at St. Ambrose about 3:30 pm. The tour is limited to persons 50 years or older and bus seating. There is a $6 charge to visit the Czeck Center, plus dutch Treat lunch. A Festival of Ministries is coming to St. Ambrose! The Pastoral Council is asking each of the ministries at St. Ambrose to participate in a Festival of Ministries to be held after masses the weekend of November 9th & 10th. Each ministry will set up a table in the gym and showcase what they do in the parish. This is a great way for everyone to see what is happening in our parish and a great way for the ministries to solicit participation!

Ministry Conference
The Annual Hispanic Ministry Conference is
Saturday, September 21st at St. Dominic Center.
The conference is bilingual with sessions in English
and Spanish.
Topics include: Inclusion and Diversity, Ministry
with Persons with Disabilities, Leadership,
Discipleship and Mission, Building Community,
Christus Vivit, Stewardship, and Hispanic
Spirituality.
All parish leaders, lay groups, priests, deacons,
