Grant, almighty God, that we may celebrate with heartfelt devotion
these days of joy, which we keep in honor of the risen Lord,
and that what we relieve in remembrance we may always
hold to in what we do. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you I n the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

A Year With the Saints Daily Medita-
tions with the Holy Ones Of God
A partial excerpt from Day 311:
The Devil fears those who pray.
Without prayer, St. John Vianney insists, we’re sure to lose our fight with the Devil. He uses every trick to keep us from praying, but if we persevere, the victory is ours.
....Yes, my dear brothers and sisters, from the moment that we neglect to pray, we move with big steps towards hell. We’ll never return to God if we don’t resort to prayer. This book is available until May 27th
for 20.00 (includes shipping). It retails
for 34.98.
The soft leather bound book is availa-
ble to view in the main entrance of the
church, along with a sign up form.
Payment due prior to order of the
book. You may mail or stop in office,

A Prayer For Our Priests
Heavenly Father, grant that our priests be strengthened
and healed by the power of the Eucharist they celebrate.
May the Word they proclaim give them courage and
wisdom. We pray that all those whom they seek to serve
may see in them the love and care of Jesus,
our Eternal High Priest, who is Lord for
ever and ever. Amen
Mary, Mother of the Church, Look tenderly
upon your sons, our priests. Joseph, patron of the Universal Church,
pray for us all.

Join us as we welcome the icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa
(the “Black Madonna”) to Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in
Warsaw, ND on Tuesday, June 3rd at 6 PM. The icon, a repli-
ca of the famous “Black Madonna” of Czestochowa, has traveled
from the Pacific coast of Russia, throughout Europe, racking up
over 40,000 miles of travel while being seen by millions of Catho-
lic and Orthodox faithful. “This pilgrimage is intended to awaken
the faithful about the urgency of defending life from the moment
of conception,” said Father Peter West, chairman of the pilgrimage committee.
“Hundreds of thousands, in venerating the image, have recommitted to
restoring a Culture of Life.” All are welcome to attend! Mass will be at 6 PM
followed by a light dinner. The local Polish National Alliance dancers will
perform. The evening will end with a half hour of adoration and devotions.
This event is being sponsored by Saint Gianna’s Maternity Home as part of its
10th anniversary celebration.
Dear Members of St. Cecilia Parish,
It seems that summer like weather has finally arrived. The snow shovels have been put away and the lawn mower is ready to go.
I am writing to give you an update on the kitchen renovation. The renovation is proceeding wonderfully, albeit a little slow. Construction workers have a tendency to come and go, which makes for a great opportunity of patience and hopefulness.
There have been a few “natural miracles” as the project has progressed, such as the knowledge gained that the floor tiles could be removed without great expense due to the possibility of the tiles containing asbestos. It is a huge expense to have asbestos re-moved, because it requires the need for special equipment and professionals to do it. We learned that the asbestos in floor tile is of a different make-up than the asbestos that is used for wrapping pipes. Another “natural miracle” was the discovery of a floor drain in the kitchen that was hidden by being covered by floor tile. The floor drain will help tre-mendously when the time comes to cut the floor for various pipes and electrical conduit.
I would like to thank the Louise Eckart family for the donation of a new refrigerator and the Knights of Columbus donation of $1500.00 for stoves.
I want to thank all those involved in the project and I look forward to its completion. The kitchen should be “wonderful to behold” upon its completion.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me. Please keep the project in your prayers.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Frank Miller
