Cyberbullying could be affecting your child In the summer, children may be spending more time talking to friends online and sharing status updates on social media, playing games, and more. The internet is a great way to keep in touch with classmates while school is out, but it’s also a place where cruel and bullying behavior can be rampant. Talk to your children about internet safety, and be vigilant about who they communicate with and how they are acting. If your child seems sad or depressed, it could be a sign that bullying is going on. Unlike in school, you can’t walk away from cyberbullying, and harmful messages can be spread quickly. As parents, stay up to date on what sites your children are using, and openly monitor conversations and messages if needed.
