PARISH PROTOCOL DURING THE COLD AND
FLU SEASON
(Advent to Holy Week)
This seems an appropriate time to suspend the reception of the chalice
at Mass as we enter the cold and flu season. If you have a bad cold or
flu, you are dispensed from the Sunday Mass obligation. Also,
simply acknowledge people at Mass with a friendly nod or gesture if
you have a cold. Hand disinfectant is available at all the doors of the
Church.
Stay well!
THANK YOU from Rhode Island Right to Life
A heartfelt thank you to St. Margaret's
Parish and all the generous
parishioners who raised $2,040.33 in
our recent Baby Bottle Boomerang.
Your generosity helps us continue
providing pregnancy tests and ultrasounds throughout Rhode
Island in our Ancora Women’s Mobile Care Center, and stocking
the shelves of our Maternity Hope Chest to serve mothers who
have courageously chosen LIFE but need a helping hand caring
for their precious little ones, whether it be diapers and wipes,
clothing and blankets, bassinets and strollers, and many other
must have items. May the Good Lord bless you many times over
for your generosity.
December 15-16, 2018
The Pastor’s Corner
“Rejoice in the Lord, always!” This Third Sunday of Advent,
Gaudete Sunday, invites us to do just that…rejoice, the day
draws near. The Church, grounds and rectory are slowing
reflecting the light of this season. Look, see, and believe!
The hundreds of gifts from the Ad vent Giving Trees was
more overwhelming than ever. A very special word of
thanks to the Conlon’s of many generations and Mrs. Roni
Procopio for coordinating the giving lists of young and old
alike. So many children and adults will have gifts this year
because of your kindness. St. Margaret’s always comes
through for those in need. Thank you for all those people
who will smile this Christmas Day because of us.
It’s going to be a very busy week for everyone. Be sure
to take some time for yourself, read the beginning of the
Gospel of St. Luke with the Annunciation and Christmas
Stories, and above all else, rejoice in the truth that, “The Lord,
your God is in our midst!”
~With Advent hope and joy!
