His priesthood is exercised in the Sacraments, especially the Sacraments most closely associ-ated with the Eucharist, the Sacraments of Initiation, of Or-ders, and the Sacrament of the Sick. The Chrism Mass is an annual celebration for the sacra-mental life of our Archdiocese. Each Easter, members of our parish do-nate Potted Easter Lilies, Azaleas, Hydran-geas, Tulips and other plants are desperately needed to decorate the altar and sanctuary. You are asked to please attach a slip of paper
with the name of the person in whose memory the Potted plant is donated and whether that person is deceased or alive. (Please print that information). All those names will be listed in the Parish Bulletin on the Second Sunday of Easter. Please bring these potted plants to the Rectory on Thursday or Friday of Holy Week.

TRIDUUM + THE THREE DAYS Holy Thursday + Good Friday + Holy Saturday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper + Passion + The Great Easter Vigil
Each of these three days, known as the TRIDUUM, is one celebration of Passion, Death & Resurrection. In the life of the Church there are no other days more important, no other time as special as the TRIDUUM. It is one celebration, one liturgy, one act of worship that is three days long celebrating the most special and most holy days of our Christian faith.
On Holy Thursday we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper with the Washing of the Feet and then procession of the Eucha-rist to an Altar of Repose (in the Hall) where we are invited to remain in adora-tion till midnight. All this recalls Our
Lord’s Last Supper, giving us the Eucharist, washing the feet of the Disciples, and His agony in the garden.
On Good Friday, the Passion reaches its climax in the death of Jesus on the Cross. We mourn, we ache, we enter into the pain, sadness and fear of Mary the Mother of God as that of the Disciples.
On Holy Saturday, at first we wait, still accompanying Mary and the Disciples in their pain and confusion. Then in the dark-ness of Holy Saturday night, we celebrate the Resurrection of the Light of the World who dispels all darkness. In the light, we
Baptize, we Confirm and we celebrate First Eucharist with new members of our Catholic-Christian faith.
Of these three days no one day is more important. Each day is an important part of one celebration of hope, peace and eternal life. The Eucharist of Holy Thursday gives us hope. His death on Good Friday gives Him peace and us the prom-ise of His peace. The Resurrection of Holy Saturday night gives us eternal life. Without any one of these there can not be any of the others.
Good Friday is a very popular day as the sufferings of Christ have touched lives of so many people. The highpoint of Good Friday spiritually is the celebration of the Solemn Li-turgical Service and within that service the Passion Gospel of John, the Veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion. Please remember that Good Friday is more complete, more meaningful when we celebrate Holy Thursday and the Great Easter Vigil of Holy Saturday.
We invite you to celebrate with us the whole TRIDUUM. Come join us for one worship, one prayer, in the one Lord and one Church. Please accompany our parish family throughout our celebration of Holy Thursday & Good Friday & Holy Saturday.

Misa de la Cena del Señor + Pasión + La gran Vigilia Pascual
Cada uno de estos tres días, conocidos como el TRIDUO, es una celebración de Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección. En la vida de la Iglesia no hay otros días más importantes, no hay otro tiempo tan especial como el TRIDUO. Es una celebración, una liturgia, un acto de adoración, que es de tres largos días de celebración de lo más especial y los días más sagrados de nuestra fe Cristiana.
En Jueves Santo celebramos la Misa de la Cena del Señor, con el Lavado de Pies y después la presesión de la Eucaristía al Altar de Reposo (en el Salón), donde somos invitados a permanecer en adoración hasta la
medianoche. Todo esto nos recuerda la Ultima Cena de Nuestro Señor, dándonos la Eucaristía, lavando los pies de los discípulos, y de Su agonía en el jardín.
En Viernes Santo, la Pasión alcanza el punto de mayor intensidad con la muerte de Jesús en la Cruz. Lamentamos, lo sentimos, entramos en dolor, tristeza y temor por María la Madre de Dios así como la de los Discípulos.
En Sábado Santo, de primero esperamos, acompañando a María y los Discípulos en su dolor y confusión. Después en la oscuridad de la noche de Sábado Santo, celebramos la Resurrección de la Luz del Mundo, quien
desaparece la oscuridad. En la luz Bautizamos, confirmamos y celebramos la Primera Eucaristía con los nuevos miembros de nuestra fe Católica-Cristiana.
De estos tres días no hay uno día más importante. Cada día es una parte importante de una celebración de esperanza, paz y vida eterna. La Eucaristía de Jueves Santo nos da esperanza. Su muerte en Viernes Santo Le da paz y ha nosotros la promesa de su paz. La Resurrección de la noche de Sábado Santo nos da la vida eterna. Sin alguno de estos días, no habría alguno de los otros.
Viernes Santo es un día muy popular, ya que el sufrimiento de Cristo a tocado las vidas de mucha gente. El punto más alto espiritualmente de Viernes Santo es la celebración de el Servicio Litúrgico Solemne y dentro de ese servicio, la Pasión del Evangelio de Juan, la Veneración de la Cruz y la Santa Comunión. Por favor recuerden que Viernes Santo es más complete, es más significante cuando celebramos el Jueves Santo y la gran Vigilia Pascual del Sábado Santo.
Los invitamos a que celebren con nosotros todo el TRIDUO. Acompáñenos para una veneración, para una oración, en un solo Señor y una sola Iglesia. Por favor acompañen a nuestra familia parroquial por toda nuestra celebración de Jueves Santo, Viernes Santo y Sábado Santo.

The Stations of the Cross are a great way to prepare us for the celebration of the Solemn Liturgical Service. How-ever, the heart and soul of our Good Friday prayer is the Solemn Liturgical Service, where we hear the Passion of Christ according to the Gospel of John, then come for-ward to the altar to venerate the cross, and finally share in Holy Communion. The Stations of the Cross are power-ful and beautiful, but should inspire us to participate in the even more powerful "Solemn Liturgical Service".
Hearing the Passion proclaimed from the Gospel of John is the perfect way to pray on Good Friday. In response to the Gospel we are invited to come forward in love and respect to venerate the cross of death that has become the cross of life. We come to touch, to kiss, to pray. Then we share in Holy Communion reserved from the Mass of the Lord's Supper of Holy Thursday. Sharing in the Sacra-ment of the Altar, the Eucharist, allows us to share more deeply, more profoundly in the Passion of Christ. It al-lows us to be in Holy Communion with the Passion of Christ.

Lo más importante + lo más maravilloso + lo más especial y lleno de gracia de la celebración del Viernes Santos es el “SERVICIO LITURGICO SOLEMNE”. Esta es la única oración del Viernes Santo, donde estamos bendecidos por el Evangelio y podemos recibir la gracia de la Eucaristía.

VIA CRUSIS EN ESPAÑOL El Grupo de Jóvenes “El Señor es mi Pastor” Presentara el Via Crusis el día 3 de Abril a las 8pm en el estacionamiento de la Iglesia.
El Vía Crucis es una Buena manera de prepararnos para la celebración del Servicio Litúrgico Solemne. Por lo tanto, el corazón y alma de la oración de nuestro Viernes Santo es el Servicio Litúrgico Solemne, donde escuchamos la Pasión de Cristo de acuerdo al Evangelio de Juan, después pasamos al altar para venerar la cruz, y finalmente compartir en la Santa Comunión. El Vía Crucis es hermoso y poderoso, pero nos debería inspirar para participar, en el aún más poderoso “Servicio Litúrgico Solemne”.
El escuchar la Pasión proclamada del Evangelio de Juan es la manera perfecta de orar en Viernes Santo. En respuesta al Evangelio, somos invitados a pasar adelante con amor y respeto para venerar la cruz de la muerte que se a convertido en la cruz de vida. Llegamos a tocar, besar, y a orar. Después compartimos en la Santa Comunión que fue reservada de la Misa de la Cena del Señor del Jueves Santo. PROPHETIC ANOINTING
The solemnity of today’s readings invites us into silent contemplation of the mystery of our redemption. There are so many levels on which to understand the events of the Passion. The woman who anoints Jesus acts prophetically in a way that the other disciples do not yet grasp. Anointing is for priests, prophets, and kings, and also for the preparation of the dead. It is for healing and for holiness. Her action acknowledges the imminent events of the passion and death of the Lord, and points toward his resurrection and triumph over evil and death. He is priest and victim, prophet and God, King and Lord. All these things are acknowledged in her prophetic anointing.

Para el pueblo judío, sólo había una alianza, la que el Señor Dios había hecho con Israel por medio de Moisés en el Monte Sinaí. Cuando Jeremías dice que de alguna manera Dios va a reemplazar la antigua alianza con una nueva, seguro que sus oyentes pensaban que era algo muy atrevido. De ese modo Jeremías es un predecesor de Jesús, quien, en el Evangelio de Juan se presenta siempre como alguien que reemplaza el pasado, estableciendo el Reino de Dios de una manera nueva. Y en el pasaje del Evangelio de hoy, Jesús, “la nueva alianza” habla con el lenguaje del “nuevo mandamiento” de amor cuando menciona el grano de trigo que muere y nuestra propia muerte al egoísmo para poder resucitar con Cristo. Al finalizar la Cuaresma y al prepararnos a entrar en la Semana Santa, el grano de trigo que muere es un símbolo excelente del tipo de muerte y autosacrificio al que los discípulos están llamados, un símbolo de esa nueva alianza escrita en lo más profundo de nuestro corazón.
