IMAGINE LIFE BELOW THE POVERTY LINE, where one in eight Americans struggles every day to hang on. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) stands with poor and low-income people, helping them create permanent solutions to poverty. CCHD invests in the dignity of the poor by providing life-changing grants to community based projects in dioceses throughout the United States. But CCHD can only effect change with the solidarity of parishioners across the country. Be part of the numbers that care; give generously to the CCHD Appeal next weekend. Visit povertyusa.org to learn more. THANK YOU: I would like to thank everyone for their help with this year's Halloween Party. We had our biggest crowd ever, and a good time was had by all. Special thanks to Jane Blanchard and Bobbie Smith; to Charlie Muro for the beautiful decorations, the Knights of Columbus, Patty Wehby and the Lady’s Auxiliary; the "Muro Mafia" kitchen crew, Doug Blanchard and all of his haunted house helpers, everyone who worked the games and all who donated candy. Also, a huge thank you to Liz Smith (Grandma) for the wonderful candy and chocolate caramel apples. They were awesome! If you would like to see the pictures from the party, just go to the website and follow the link on the front page. Thank you, Julie Owen

CHOIR REHEARSAL Monday, November 12th, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Taize Prayer Service This Friday, November 16th at 6:45 p.m. – Please join Father Bean, the Choir, and fellow parishioners for a peaceful, prayerful and powerful Taize prayer service in the Grotto of the Blessed Mother at St. Patrick on Friday, November 16th at 6:45 p.m. The prayers and songs will last approximately 35 minutes with goodies ( and some hot coffee if the weather is chilly ) in St. Joseph Hall following. End a busy work week with a few minutes of quiet reflection in God’s great outdoors. Bring a friend, a lawn-chair and a blanket to Bundle Up and Bless the LORD !!! Children’s Christmas Choir – Many children of the Parish (and a few of their parents on their behalf) have expressed interest in singing at Mass. With the many outside activities for pre-school and grade school children, rehearsal time has been the most difficult part of having an organized children’s music group. If your child is interested in singing a few songs in a children’s group at the Christmas Eve Mass, please let Janet Rubino know in the next two weeks. Janet can be reached through the church website or call the church office. The 30 minute rehearsals for the children’s group will be held on Monday evenings from 5:45 – 6:15 beginning Nov. 26th. Please make sure you and your child can commit to four weekly rehearsals until Christmas to ensure that they have the opportunity to learn the songs they will be singing and be comfortable leading that song at Mass.

DID YOU KNOW that the church website has a new look and feel? We now have some additional information on the home page and you can view our 20-year Anniversary DVD right from this area. We will soon be taking advantage of some of the new features available to us. How would you like to participate in a blog? Watch the bulletin and the website for more information soon!
