    Staff observation 1. Pull through key class

    information into lesson observation which can then be fi ltered on in the staff analysis reports.

    2. Keep a record of which members of staff were present and which were observing.

    3. Record any comments about how the observation went, as well as the ability to add any notes or documents.

    Your questions answered What’s involved in setting up Staff Performance in SIMS Personnel?Staff Performance can be set up in only a few steps. Just defi ne your appraisal period dates, school objectives and professional standards, then set up permissions to begin using it straight away.

    We don’t use all of the fi elds/features in SIMS Personnel, can we still use Staff Performance?Yes, as long as you are using the full version of SIMS Personnel the data collected in the new Staff Performance area does not depend on data held elsewhere. Schools can enter information which is not maintained in SIMS.

    Will we be able to record performance related pay according to the 2013 legislation?Yes, you can record any pay recommendations during the review and these can be used to inform decisions about changes to staff salaries.
