NEWS CREWGoal 2

The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students

.

• Among the STLP activities, we have two news crews that take turns each week delivering the news daily. Students rotate to learn about the different jobs in the news room acquiring new technology skills along the way.

Goal 4The STLP will form learning partnerships among students

with different technology skills.

Goal 3The STLP will participate in multi-age collaboration by

forming innovative learning partnerships

• During our STLP meetings, Mrs. Hundley goes over a particular activity (skype, webpage, movie maker, etc.) Then we discuss projects we would like to work on as a group. We break into small groups to complete those projects. So far, we have created several PSA’S, Powerpoints, Personal Webpages, and weekly shows for the school.

SKYPING!!Goal 5

The STLP will develop activities which benefit communities

• Through Skyping, we have been able to reach out to one of our feeder schools and answers questions from 5th graders about attending middle school. This will help calm their fears as they enter middle school in the next few years. We were also able to integrate powerpoint and video into this project.

SKYPINGGoal 1

The STLP will develop activities which enhance the academic, social, and

emotional growth of the student.

Skyping can also help to meet this goal among students.( This is just one of our first skyped sessions)

Computer Lab Set UpGoal 6

The STLP will develop instructional activities which integrates technology and benefits the school and supports KETS.

• Each day the STLP students start up the computers in each lab (there are 2 labs) and in the library. This helps classroom teachers in having the students ready to start when they go to the lab. Less downtime and more time for instruction.

Creative Powerpoints!

• Members of our STLP have been very creative with their powerpoints. They have helped integrate their projects into the social studies curriculum as well as adding drama to the videos that are added. The powerpoints have been interactive to say the least.
