Revision List Your Christmas test will last for 1 hour.
There will be 2 sections; a Reading Section and a Writing Section.
The exam will be worth 70% of your overall result. You have already completed Common Assessments during Term 1, which will make up the other 30%.
Reading Section (worth 35%):
In this section, you will be asked to read Act 2 Scene 2 of Macbeth and answer questions about the passage.
The questions will be:
ü Fact finding questions on what you have read. ü Questions that ask you for your opinion on what you have read. ü Questions that test your understanding of the characters of Macbeth and Lady
Macbeth. ü Questions that test your understanding of the plot of the play.
*You will have the opportunity to gain extra marks through correct spelling punctuation and grammar in the reading section.*
Writing Section (worth 35%):
In this section, you will be asked to write a MONOLOGUE as if you are a character from the passage you read about in the reading section.
This section will test:
ü Your understanding of the character you have to write as. ü Your understanding of the plot of the play. ü Your ability to use paragraphs. ü Your ability to use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. ü Your ability to engage the reader with how you write.
