1. Make sure you are on the live view page

2. This is the area to display your live view and you can double click the image to have a full screen of the selected image.

3. The connected cameras are listed here

4. Use the icons to switch to different viewing modes

5. Use the PTZ panels to control a PTZ camera

1. Drag and drop a camera from the camera list to the live view area

2. Click the image you would like to zoom in the live view area.

3. Right click on the selected image to see the options and select Digital Zoom

4. You will see a separate window with a control box on the lower right corner

5. You can use the mouse scroll over the control box to zoom in and out.

6. You can use the mouse to move the control box to see different zoomed areas

1. Click the fisheye icon and you will see the fisheye view in the live view area.

2. You can change the viewing mode to panorama, split or original by selecting the dewarp buttons

Drag and drop a PTZ camera from the camera list to the live view area and click to select the PTZ image to control

1. Directional Pad for Pan and Tilt: Click the right or left arrow to pan the camera. Click the up or down arrow to tilt the camera.

2. Functional Buttons:: Go to the home position. Preset: Switch to the presets.

Auto Pan: Start or stop pan between the mechanical stops. Patrol: Survey a large area.

3. Zoom and Focus:Zoom: Press the +/– button to zoom in/out by 1 step. Focus: Press the +/– button to increase/decrease focus by 1 step.

1. Make sure you are on the live view page

2. Right click on the selected camera image to see the options and select Instant Playback, and then select [Time Length] (ex: 20 minutes)

1. Make sure you are on the playback page

2. Select a date, time and click “Set”

3. Select a camera you would like to watch the playback. Drag and drop it to the live view area.

4. You can use the time bar and the functional buttons to play the recorded videos.

5. You can have more playback channels (4, 9, 16 and fisheye playbacks) by clicking the buttons

on the top

1. Make sure you are on the playback page and click the event search button

2. Select a date, time and click “Set” and then click to select a camera from the camera list

3. Select a Label / Event Type and click “Search”

4. Video clips of the search result will appear here Double click the video to play.

5. The selected video will be played here

When you are playing back the video, you can also export the video clip.

1. Make sure you have inserted a USB drive into NVR5000 before exporting.

2. On the time bar, click the to set the cue-in (starting) and to set the cue-out (ending) points of the video you would like to export.

3. Click the save icon and the video clip will be saved to the USB drive.

1. Click the setup icon on the upper left corner to bring out the VMS Setup Console.

2. Click to select the item Account from the left panel

3. Double click the option Account to edit accounts

4. Click “Add” to create a new account

5. Input the required information for a new account creation

1. Click to select the item Account from the left panel

2. Double click the option Authority to edit

3. Select a User Group that you would like to manage their authorities

4. Select the authorized activities from the list for the user group

1. Make sure you have inserted a USB drive into NVR5000.

2. Click to select the item Maintenance from the left panel

3. Double click the option System Backup

4. Select a time and tick to select the cameras that you would like to backup and click “Set”

5. Click “Start” to start backup and the video clip will be saved to the USB drive.

6. The backup speed can be adjusted (Please note: Full speed will be heavy for disk loading.

You can select a lower speed to reduce the loading, but it will take longer to backup.)

You can check the event logs whenever needed to ensure an error-free system.

1. Event LogsThe event log will be displayed on the lower left corner of the live view page.

2. Event Log Details• Click the “Details” button to see the detailed log.• Click the “Alarm” button to see the event-triggered videos.

You can check the status whenever needed to ensure an error-free system. In the normal condition, all lights are green. If you see any different color, please refer to the user manual for further details.

1. StatusThe status will be displayed on the lower left corner of the live view page.

2. Status Check• Click the System, Video, Storage or Network to see the status • For example, click Storage and a HDD table will show which HDD is down by the red light

indicator, if there is any

1. Make sure you have inserted a USB drive with the upgrade file into NVR5000.

2. Click to select the item Maintenance from the left panel

3. Double click the option Upgrade and the system will detect the upgrade file automatically.

5. If the result shows nothing found, click “Rescan”

6. If found, click “Shutdown and Upgrade” and the system will shutdown and start upgrading.

It will restart once the upgrade completes.

You can add more channels by purchasing more licenses from Surveon. Contact Surveon for more details. After receiving the license, you can add more channels to NVR5000.

1. Make sure you have inserted a USB drive into NVR5000.

2. Click to select the item Maintenance from the left panel

3. Double click the option License and click “Browse” to select a file path you would like

to save the file to and then click “Extract “ to export the hardware information to theinserted USB drive.

4. Go to Surveon add-on license page on your PC.

• Input the newly purchased license serial number on the website.• Insert the USB drive with the extracted NVR5000 information into your PC and follow the

instructions to upload the extracted information to the website.• Download the License Activation File from the website to the same USB drive.

5. Insert the USB drive with the add-on license information into NVR5000 to import the license.

• Go back to the License page and click “Add“ to add more channels to NVR5000. • Restart NVR5000 to activate the newly added channels.

You can run the built-in TeamViewer for your administrator or system integrator to access your NVR5000 for remote assistance.

1. Click to select the item Maintenance from the left panel

2. Double click the option Remote Assistance to open the TeamViewer. Make sure your internet

connection is working fine.

3. After the status light turns to green, you will find your Teamviewer ID and password You can

send such information to your administrator or system integrator for remote assistance.
