Adult Cantata: THE WEEPING TREE!

Good Friday, April 14th 7:00p.m. in the sanctuary

Join us Good Friday evening as our choir and guest orchestral musicians share the good news

of the gospel as we remember the passion of Jesus and the power of the cross. This service

of music and message testifies to the timeless truth of grace and redemption.

This year’s cantata, The Weeping Tree, allows us to focus on the cross through a service called

Tenebrae. Tenebrae is an ancient Christian Good Friday service that makes use of gradually

diminishing light reminding us of the darkness (physical & spiritual) associated with the death of

Jesus on Good Friday. The word "tenebrae" comes from a Latin word meaning "shadows” and

is about the darkness of this day.

The service concludes in darkness and worshipers then leave in silence to ponder the impact

of Christ's death and await the coming Resurrection. Invite a friend or a co-worker and join us!

Community Sunrise

Easter Service

7:00 a.m., April 16th at the TUMC Ballfield

Join us (and millions of Christians around the world) as we greet the Easter

morn and hear the wonderful resurrection message of Jesus’ victory over sin

and death. This year we will join with other churches in our community for

this special service. While it might be early, you don’t want to miss this pow-

erful time of worship. A light continental breakfast will be provided following

the sunrise service.

Easter Morning Worship Service

9:00 Alive and 11:00 services

There is no more important service in the Christian year than Easter. The

good news of Jesus Christ’s resurrection is the foundation for our faith and

the source of our hope. Invite a neighbor, friend or co-worker and come help

us sing the joyous hymns of new life and victory over death! Experience the

joy of this glorious day as we hear again the amazing words of how the “stone

has been rolled away!”

Sometimes all you need is for someone to be there, even if

they can’t solve your problems. Just knowing there is
