A Nordic charity project where everyday cyclists: men and women in different ages, with different professions and backgrounds travel from Scandinavia to Paris, France with a goal of raising money for The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Team Rynkeby is

All participants pay all their own equipment, including bicycle, clothing, food, lodging and other expenses while getting to Paris.

The idea behind Team Rynkeby was born during a Christmas party in December 2001.

Knud Vilstrup, employee at Rynkeby, together with former Technical Director Torben Møller Larsen were sitting and chatting over a beer or two. Their conversation slipped into cycling and Tour de France. Knud told Torben that is would be fun to bicycleto Paris to see the finish at Champs Élysées and asked if he could sponsor with a few litres of juice. He was willing to do so, but in return would also like to come along.

The history of Team Rynkeby

The trip gave them 38 000 kronas that was forwarded to Børnecancerfonden in Denmark. Since then they have cycled to Paris from Denmark every year.

The Swedish team came along in 2011. The main goal is to raise money and support children with cancer together with their families.

The fight for life continues.

The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation’s purpose is to raise funds for the prevention and control of cancer in children and to work towards a better health and quality of life for children with cancer and their families.

The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation is driven exclusively by donations from individuals and businesses, and get no contribution from either state, municipality of county.

Since its inception in 1982, TSCCF contributed more than one billion to research in childhood cancer.
