Week 2 is Children’s week. Our own Kerri Kelsh
is one of 3 people being honoured with an
award at Government House on Monday. We
will have our own celebration on Tuesday with
a teddy bears’ picnic and assembly. I hope to
see as many family members (and teddies) as
possible. The assembly will be followed by the
Governing Council meeting at 3:30pm.
Also in week 2 (Monday), the senior class will
travel to Minnipa Ag Centre to participate in
open day.
In week 7 Students will be travelling to
Karcultaby for swimming lessons. These will
focus on stroke development in anticipation of
Miltaburra joining Karcultaby for a swimming
carnival in term 1 next year.
The school concert will be held Thursday of
week 8 which will allow us to have our annual
beach day on the Friday.
Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to what looks likely to be a jam packed term! I hope everyone had a
great holiday and managed some quality family time. If you are starting harvest work in
the next few weeks, can you please remind drivers to keep an eye out for school buses
and that the speed limit is 25km/hr when school buses are stationary.
This term we will be planning for 2018 and we will have a student free day in week 4 when
we will analyse all of our student achievement and other data, identify areas to focus on
next year and begin developing individual student learning plans.
Karen Stokes
Teaching and Learning Mathematician in residence Kathy Palmer will
be returning to Miltaburra in week 4 (Friday) to
continue her work with teachers around plan-
ning and programming for mathematics
learning across the year levels.
A “no- baking required” way to support the school!!
