UBC Charlotta Rock Festival, 12-13 June 2015:

The final 14 has been announced!

We are pleased to inform that the results of the first stage of the festival have been announced.

So far the UBC Charlotta Rock Festival has met with wide interest. 47 applications from 8 Baltic Sea

countries have been received. The artistic level was very high.

Jury had a very hard decision to make because they were only allowed to choose 14 bands.

After a long hours of debates the following bands have been qualified:

CONGRATULATIONS!

The organizers would like to thank those bands that haven’t had that much luck. The hosts would like

to stay in touch with those bands and invite them to Charlotta Valley for the following editions of the

UBC Charlotta Rock Festival.

The organisers wish every band the best of luck and lots of success in private and professional life.

Dear Sirs,

For eight years, Dolina Charlotty has been hosting Rock Legends Festival which is recognized

in our country and has become a musical and cultural cult event. This year, we are organizing the

ninth edition of Rock Legends Festival. The following artists will perform on the stage of our

amphitheater: Carlos Santana, ZZ TOP and Robert Plant. In the last eight years, many famous and

recognized rock stars appeared on the stage, among others, Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, Deep

Purple, John Mayall, Alice Cooper, Paul Rodgers, Thin Lizzy, Uriah Heep (www.legendyrocka.com).

The artists performing in Dolina Charlotty add to the unique character and magic of this

place. They all say that they will be happy to perform on this stage again in the future. In 2013, Carlos

Santana gave an amazing concert whose climax were his significant words addressed to the audience

– “This is my new home”.

Due to great popularity of Rock Legends Festival, we think it is time to address our Festival

offer to Baltic Sea countries. Apart from the Festival, we also organize such events as Charlotta Moto

Fest, BBQ Championships, sports events and many others.

Last year, we also organized European BBQ Championships 2014 under the patronage of World

Barbecue Association (WBQA). Having gained some experience, we are taking up the organization of

UBC (Union of the Baltic Cities) BBQ Championships from 12-14.06.2015. The Union of the Baltic

Cities is an organization of ten countries of the Baltic Sea basin: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark,

Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and Poland. A Board Meeting of UBC will be held in Dolina

Charlotty at the same time.

Rock Legends Festival will include a review of youth rock bands from UBC countries.

Therefore, we are kindly asking you to appoint a promising rock band that could take part in the

review. On 13th of June 2015, each band will have an opportunity to perform on the stage of our

amphitheater during Review of UBC Youth Rock Bands I when the jury will determine three winning

bands. As a reward, the winners will be allowed to perform as support bands during Rock Legends

Festival IX (ZZ Top – 03.07.2015; Carlos Santana – 04.07.2015; Robert Plant – 21.07.2015).

Accommodation and full-board are provided to all bands taking part in the review.

We are convinced that thanks to your involvement, we can organize Review of UBC Youth

Rock Bands I which will be a great addition to Rock Legends Festival IX in Dolina Charlotty. We also

believe that our common interest in music will be a solid foundation for fruitful cooperation.
