In baptism we become disciples of the Lord. What happened at the Baptism of Jesus, happened at our baptism too. In baptism, God says to us, “You are my beloved daughter”, “You are my beloved son”. God gives us the Spirit to live the life of a Christina and par-ticipate in the work of Jesus, sharing in the loving presence of God through our baptism.
Dear Parishioners, In this new year of 2021, I pray that it will be a blessed and healthy year for you and all your loved ones. I want to sincerely thank you for your Christmas donations to our parish. Your generosity and support is deeply appreciated. Please know that your weekly contributions and Christmas donations are so helpful in paying our bills, carrying out repairs and mainte-nance and supporting our reduced staffing. This past year has been such a strange time for all of us and we wait with hope for the day when we can get back to praying, worshiping and celebrating as a community together. With gratitude and blessings for the New Year! ~ Fr. Seamus
We, the San Agustín Catholic Community in the Diocese of Monte-rey, united by our baptism and through the Gospels, seek to deepen our union with Jesus and grow as a faith community. We seek to enrich our heritage of care and concern for all, especially for those in need, by being instruments of God’s love and healing to the world around us. We foster a strong commu-nity atmosphere where individuals can share the Christian life with one an-other. We encourage our entire Church community to reach out to others as members of the body of Christ. Guided by the Holy Spirit and united in prayer, we pledge ourselves to pursue this mission by active partic-ipation in the liturgical, educational and social ministries of the Church. We recognize that to be effective, these ministries require spiritual, physical and financial resources, and we accept our responsibility.
