Hey everybody, I hope all of you have had a good summer thus far. Mine has been pretty eventful as I begin to transition into the next era of my life: Post-YWAM. Thanks to all of you for your support and interest in my life during my time with YWAM. Mission Adventures As I said in my last newsletter, we had 4 total Mission Adventures teams this spring and summer. From Kleefeld, Eden Prairie (Minnesota), Morden, and Nanaimo. Due to some of the students dropping out last minute, and other events outside their control, the team from Morden ended up cutting their time with us a day short. The team from Nanaimo was in for a week, and while they were pretty tired a lot of the time (they not only drove all the way from Nanaimo, they also wanted to fit in our full 10-day schedule into the 7 days they were with us), they were all very impacted by their time with us. The main goal they had in coming was to see what we were doing here in Winnipeg and find ways of translating it for their context back home. I think that's the best reason I've heard. As long as I've been working with the Mission Adventures program I've hoped the teams would take what they experienced in Winnipeg back to their homes and continue on there. This year's theme for Mission Adventures was “The Basics: Love God, Love Others” which was a great reminder for me of what it's all about to cap off my time as Mission Adventures director. Rendezvous The time has come once again for the biennial YWAM Canada staff conference. The Rendezvous is held at Wilderness Edge Resort in Pinawa. I've been to the Rendezvous twice before, and it's always been a very fun and meaningful time for me. It's a great time to connect and interact with the wider YWAM Canada family. The Future As I said in my last newsletter, I will be leaving YWAM at the end of August. Many of you know by now that my plan is to move back to Steinbach and (hopefully) work at enVision Community Living. Hey everybody, I hope all of you have had a good summer thus far. Mine has been pretty eventful as I begin to transition into the next era of my life: Post-YWAM. Thanks to all of you for your support and interest in my life during my time with YWAM.

Mission AdventuresAs I said in my last newsletter, we had 4 total Mission Adventures teams this spring and summer. From Kleefeld, Eden Prairie (Minnesota), Morden, and Nanaimo. Due to some of the students dropping out last minute, and other events outside their control, the team from Morden ended up cutting their time with us a day short. dropped of my résumé there, talked to one of the ladies in charge of hiring. Sean (my brother, who also works there) is pretty confident that I won't have any trouble getting a job there. I'm also starting to consider going back to school. I know in my last newsletter I had mentioned possibly doing some schooling in the area of linguistics, however I wanted to do something a bit more practical and have started looking into the area of nursing or possibly psychiatric nursing.

Thanks again to all of you for your support, my life is richer because of you all.

*Note to Donors*YWAM Donor Services’ policy is to allow YWAMers to keep their account open for up to six months after they leave YWAM to help the transition go a bit smoother. I’ve arranged with them to keep my account open for September and October. So, you obviously are all free to stop supporting me before then, and if you wish to do so just get in contact with Project Funding and let them know. Otherwise, they will just cancel your monthly donations at the end of October.

How To Support MeAll financial support is processed through our Project Funding office in Vancouver. Please make your cheque or money order payable to Youth With A Mission and include a separate note indicating that your donation is designated for me. It can be sent to the address on the left.

If you are interested in giving on a monthly basis you can send in post-dated cheques or use our pre-authorized payment method. If you are interested in receiving a pre-authorized payment agreement form please email or call their office with your name and address. A 2.5% deduction is made on every gift to cover costs. Credit card donations will receive an additional 3% (5.5% total). Tax receipts are sent to donors annually.

Thank you again for your generosity. Every gift, no matter the size, goes a long way to help me continue to serve God in this exciting inner city ministry.
