JOIN ME FOR A WALK WITH SAINT PAUL
"There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer
slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for
all of you are one in Christ Jesus." - Paul the Apostle
One bucket list item I have not done in my
32 years of pastoral ministry is to travel in the foot-
steps of St. Paul. I always wanted to see the places
that he lived, ministered, started new Christian com-
munities and was imprisoned. I am planning to take
such a trip and I would like to invite you to join me.
On May 13 – 24, 2019 I will be hosting a
“Footsteps of St. Paul” trip. We will travel to places
like Rome, Athens, Corinth, Ephesus and Patmos. A
three day cruise in the Greek Isles is included as
well. I have been encouraged by the enthusiasm
that this trip has stirred up in our community. I have
a brochure and a tentative itinerary that you can
pick up on the back table at worship
On Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30 pm
there will be an information meeting here at Dr. Mar-
tin Luther. Gail, the tour guide from AMI travel, will
be here for a presentation and to answer any ques-
tions. Feel free to invite family and friends to join
you for the trip. We are hoping that 20 to 30 mem-
bers of DMLC and Atonement Lutheran in Muskego
will be able to attend. My friend Pastor Greg Van
Dunk will be a host on the trip as well.
Please let me know if you have some inter-
est in joining me. If you have any questions please
don’t hesitate to give me a call.
God’s blessings,
Pastor Larry

Do you know a college student who would like to receive some treats from our congregation? As our college students
head off on their adventures over the next few weeks, some for the first time, our
congregation would like to send them a goody box to help them adjust to their new
surroundings. We are looking for donations of small, individually wrapped items
that will fit into a medium postal box. Suggestions are microwavable food, candy,
gum, breath mints, microwave popcorn bags, crackers, cookies, chips, granola bars,
dry soups, beef jerky, hand sanitizers, small tissue packets, etc. Use your imagina-
tion! Cash donations towards the cost of shipping and purchases are also appreci-
ated. There will be a box in the back of the church for donations~please take cash
to the church office. Caroline would like to mail these October 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Many thanks for handing in your Piggly Wiggly receipts. Jeanne Johns & her daughter, Jessica
Tio, recently submitted DMLC receipts from January-July which added up to a whopping total of $36,171.00. We will
be receiving a check from Piggly Wiggly for 1% of that which is $361.00. Our check that was received the end of De-

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in
making our Vacation Bible School another great
success! So much time, patience and love was
given. All who donated items or money, led a group
or offered prayer. We can’t thank you enough! I
would especially like to thank Brenda Scherret, my
right hand
lady, who was there every minute and kept all the
preparation running smooth and made it so much
fun!
This year we collected 269 items for the Oconomo-
woc Food Pantry! Kids were extra motivated
thanks to Danielle (aka Evan O’Leary) and
Ashpenaz (aka Gordon Moose Fleury) who were
not only brave in prayer but brave as they each re-
ceived five pies in the face in honor of our food
drive!
We hope to have a slide show up on a new You-
Tube channel for our Sunday School soon. If you
were in VBS you will receive an email when it goes
up.
Thank you again to all!
Blessings,
Angie Lewein
