PAIRS AND SPARESThe Riverside Restaurant on Melton Hill Lake is the Luncheon destination on Thursday August 22nd. We depart the parking lot at noon. All seniors are invited – 922-1522.

Brown Bag Study beginning Monday, September 9, 11 a.m.-

1 p.m. in the Good News Class, bring your lunch - Scouting the Divine – Searching for God in Wine, Wool, and Wild Honey – An interactive bible study by Margaret Feinberg facilitated by Lyn Oakley. Go on a spiritual adventure that will move you from reading the Bible to entering stories that can be touched, tasted, heard, seen, smelled, and savored. Discover for yourself the wonder and beauty of God and Scripture all over again.

WELCOMETo our new youth director Carrie Niceley. Hello! I am so excited to be here. My name is Carrie Niceley and I am the new Interim Youth Director.  I am currently a Music Major studying voice at the University of Tennessee.  I am a native Knoxvillian and an alumna of West High School.  I am a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the Youth Group during my time there.  I am so blessed to be involved with this congregation and can’t wait to start a new season of Youth Group! 

FELLOWSHIP GROUPThe Fellowship dinner will be at Don Gallo's, 980 E. Emory Rd, Powell (in same strip mall as Spicy's, just west of Dry Gap Rd.) on Thursday September 19th at 6:30. Please sing up on the fellowship board outside the church office by noon on Tuesday, September 17 so we can reserve enough spots. Questions call Laura Tappan at home 689-6002 or cell 742-4003.

INQUIRER’S CLASSInquirer’s Class for new members and visitors will be held on Sept. 8, 15 and 22 in the Meeting Room at 10:00 a.m. This class is led by Max Reddick and focuses on Presbyterian theology, Presbyterian history, and the local church.

CONFIRMATION CLASS

Confirmation Classes begin September 5 with a parent/student meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Any youth 7th grade and older who has not been confirmed is invited to attend. Please call or email to sign up (688-2163 or [email protected]).
