In connection with the City ofGothenburg’s detailed developmentplan for Järnvågsgatan etc. in thedistrict of Masthugget there is a need tocover the Göta tunnel’s entry and exitramps at Järntorgsmotet. In this way,the traffic barrier formed by the Götatunnel ramps up to Järntorgsmotet isremoved.
By supplementing existing ramps with acover, the construction of a park areaconnecting Järntorget to the Göta Riveris made possible.
