Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament Exposition is held on Wednesdays, 5 —6 pm. The church is open daily for prayer 9.00 am—6.00 pm. Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament is a deeply personal way to draw close to Jesus. It extends the experience of receiving the Eucharist, allowing time for the mystery of his presence to grow within us. You are welcome to call in for 10, 20 or 30 minutes or the full hour.

Tertiary Chaplaincy Vacancies Auckland Catholic Diocese

We have two vacancies for committed Catholics to work as members of the Auckland Tertiary Chaplaincy Team which provides services to students at Auckland Univer-sity and AUT. The positions are permanent full time positions for 10.5 months per year. The focus of the chaplaincy team is to develop a vibrant young adult Catholic ministry providing spiritual and pastoral care through peer support. This ministry endeavours to pro-vide ongoing faith development and involvement in the Catholic Church for students at tertiary institutions. The successful applicant for:

Position 1 will have an ability and interest in taking responsibility for maintaining a strong social media pres-ence for Tertiary Chaplaincy;

Position 2 will have skills to engage effectively with students and facilitate social contact through a variety of events and activities. Applications close Fri 25 October. Defibrillator Purchase for the Parish

Based on a recent event at one of our Masses, the Finance

Committee is considering investing in an Automated Exter-

nal Defibrillator (AED). Preliminary cost estimates are

$3,380 including GST and the cabinet. There are also the

installation costs, training costs, and ongoing maintenance

costs to consider. The Finance Committee is looking for

contributions towards the purchase of an AED. If you wish

“23 GREEN TIPS” Small Steps towards a Sustainable Life “The Environment and Sustainability Committee of the Auckland Catholic Justice and Peace Commission has issued a brochure listing 23 small steps we can all take towards a more sustainable life. The committee aims for the people across the Auckland diocese being enabled to understand and act on environmental and sustainability issues as an integral part of being Catholic today.
