If child abuse became legal, would it be right?
Of course not! Abortion is the ultimate
child abuse.
St. Vincent de Paul
The Gospel predicts end times; our challenge though is to live faithfully now. St. Vincent often asked this simple question: “What would Jesus Christ do, if He were in my place now?”
Ask yourself, “What would Jesus Christ de?” and then make your donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
so that those who are suffer-ing will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Glimpses of the Life of Venerable Bishop Baraga
“Fr. Baraga located at L’Anse Bay, a distance by trail from Fond-du-Lac of about two hundred and fifty
miles, heard of the great sufferings there and that one family in particular, a widow with her children, were all sick. He provided himself with such medicines as could readily be had and set out on snowshoes to make the journey in the dead of winter, with the snow several feet deep.” Benjamin Armstrong

“?”: “My family went to Mass in St. Paul, MN, and they didn’t say the Creed. (it was Saturday evening Mass) Does it still count as a Sunday Mass without the Creed?“
Fr Greg: If that Holy Mass was
advertised as a Sunday Obligation
Mass, and hopefully had the prayers
and Readings for that Sunday, then,
yes, it counted as your Sunday Obli-
gation Mass. It is possible that the
Priest forgot to lead the Creed. At
any rate, when there is no Creed,
you can always pray it silently at the
Offertory or during Holy Communion
meditation time.

November 17, 2019, Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
P L E A S E P R A Y F O R O U R S I C K
F R . G R E G ’ S N O T E S This is the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary
Time, the last before Christ the King. It is
also the Sunday on which we are celebrat-
ing the Patronal Feast of St. Cecilia at St.
Cecilia’s {actual date: November 22nd}.
Also, my apologies to our Veterans and
active members of the Military! I forgot to
wish all a Happy Veterans’ Day last week-
end at the 4pm Saturday and 8am Sunday
Holy Masses. Prayers offered!
The Readings from Scripture for this
second-to-last Sunday of the Church year
begin with a brief, blazing warning: when
Almighty God arrives at the end of time,
His Presence will be like a burning Fire for
all the Proud [Vain] and Evildoers, but, at
the same time, for those in His Grace, will
be healing sunshine! Let us resolve to al-
ways do His Will and remain in His
Grace—free from unforgiven Mortal Sin!
For, as the Psalm reminds us, God will
come to judge and rule the Earth. In the
Second Reading, St Paul reminds us to imi-
tate the goodness of the holy ones who have
been among us. Each of us must do his or her
part according to God’s gifts received, to
build up the Mystical Body of Christ, the
Church, in this world, in this lifetime!
Some will suffer much and some will be
martyrs. All will be rewarded by God for
persevering in Good for His sake!
