THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE 6THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE 6

By Rev Rocky Angone I’m proud to be an American. By the grace of God I was

born in this great country. I will not apologize for it. I wore the uniform of the armed forces of the United States of America. I fought and killed in the defense of my country. I will not apologize for it. I am a born again believer and disciple of Jesus Christ. I will not apologize for it. I am sick of mealy mouth politicians and their sad sack followers who want to blame all the world’s problems on America and go around apologizing and catering to country’s all over the globe that owe their very existence to the sacrifi ce of mil-lions of American soldiers, dead and alive.

This past Saturday, March 17th,2007, an anti-war protest was held in Washington D.C. I was fortunate enough to catch a ride with Chapter 5 of “Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club” located here in Richmond, Virginia. As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have to be careful not to judge others and I will not do that. However, I saw some things that make me shudder. Some parents had their children parading around with “impeach Bush and Cheney” signs. A number of the protesters were very vocal about their convictions, some were down right nasty. The media claims there were approximately 20,000 of them in town. I got there around 8:00am Saturday morning and had to leave at 2:30pm. I did not see that many people. Maybe they counted all the “brave hearts” that protested from the comfort of their living rooms, not willing to brave the cold to stand up and be counted with their cohorts. Is it any won-der that we mistrust the media? I wonder how many would have been “counted” if Jane Fonda had told the media that she expected at least one million to show up? Where have I heard that fi gure before?

I wish I could report that our veterans were paragons of virtue but alas, that would not be fair. Most of us kept our cool, but as usual, there are always a few that are looking for trouble and that was true for both sides. I did not see any real altercations, but a few scuffl es broke out. The D.C. Police were on station, along with the mounted police and the motorcycle police and were ready for trouble. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the others were cordoned off and you had to pass through a metal detector to get to them. That kept the protesters off the memorials. My hat is off the D.C. Police for their anticipation and help.

I am proud to be an American and Saturday, March 17th,2007 was one of the reasons. This multitude of pro-testers, however many there were, converged on our na-tions capital to protest something they believe in. This was their right. I and millions of others fought to give them that right. I do not agree with them in any way, shape or form, but I will defend their right to do it. If they had not made such a mess at their other protests and had not spread the word that they wanted to spray paint the war memori-als and do some kind of damage to them, the vets would not have been so determined to stop them. As it was, as many or more vets than protesters showed up with blood in their eyes. Can you imagine telling a man or woman that some people were too afraid to put on a uniform were going to desecrate a memorial that had the names of some of their dearest buddies on it? What did they expect, a tea party? Walk up to a Vietnam Vet and talk to him the way you would talk to a friend and he will honor that. Talk to him

the way most peace at any cost, tuck your tail between your legs and run, give the enemy anything he wants so he won’t hurt you, let’s help illegal aliens over run the country, let’s teach our children that perversion is normal, liberals do and you will probably wind up in heap somewhere with your head broke!

As sick as I thought this protest was, it was still a dem-onstration of the fact that we live in a country that honors freedom, even though some of them don’t want the rest of us to have the same privilege they enjoy. Too bad! The vets stood up and were counted. I wish the media used the same method to count as we do, you know,1-2-3 and so on, maybe then the media would decide that the truth triumphs over imagination.

I pray God’s blessing on all. No matter what side of the fence we’re on, we are still His children. We are precious in His sight and He loves us beyond anything we can imag-ine. He is the only way to this nation’s reconciliation with Him and ourselves. “It is not by might nor power, but by My Spirit says the Lord”.

I am a citizen of the United States of America and I will not apologize to anyone for it. I am proud to be an Ameri-can.

May the God of all creation bless and keep you now and forever more. Rev Rocky Angone ( Rev Rock ) Contact Rev Rock with your comments, suggestions and/or snide remarks at [email protected]

by Phil IsleyService ManagerSouth Richmond Harley-Davidson Richmond,Virginia

Do you have a problem keeping your “baby” ( your bike, not your girl friend ) looking clean and shiny? It is a lot of work, especially if you let it go for a while and that of course, is a cardinal sin, no offense to Terry or any of you other bird lovers out there. Rusty spokes and bolt heads along with oxidized engine cases are not pretty. Most of us think that anyone allowing his/her bike to get in that condition should be subject to corporal punishment. Ok, we’re a little weird.

However, it is the owner’s responsibility to do preven-tive maintenance. Ithttp://maintenance.It is necessary on new bikes and becomes critical as the years and miles increase. Caution! A lot of new bike owners and even some “seasoned” owners will use chemicals and cleaners that are too harsh. They can “haze” and/or damage your paint fi nish and chrome. Normally they are quick and easy and harmful. Remember “haste makes waste”.

To make your rims shine like “new money” pick up a can of S100 wheel cleaner and a spoke brush. These are available at most bike shops. Clean your wheels and tires fi rst and then the rest of your bike, but don’t use the spoke brush on the paint, just kidding. Use a gentle cleaner such as Rain Dance that leaves a light wax coat that protects wheels, cases and chrome and makes dry-ing much easier. Remember to use low water pressure to rinse it off.

If you have some rusty torx or allen head bolts, gently use a brass, bristle brush( say that as fast as you can ).A little effort and patience will have them looking like new again. After that apply a little clear nail polish on them.http://them.My My wife was wondering what I was doing with her nail polish. She suggested professional help but It works. The clear polish also helps keep the rust from forming. Trust me!

Ride safe and clean, Phil

FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS:MARIJUANA FILLED FIREWOOD

“Hello, is this the Sheriff’s Offi ce?” “Yes. What can I do for you?”“I’m calling to report ‘bout my neighbor Virgil Smith....He’s hidin’ marijuana inside his fi rewood! Don’t quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he’s hidin’ it there.” “Thank you very much for the call, sir.” The next day, twelve Sheriff’s Deputies descend on Virgil’s house. They search the shed where the fi rewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but fi nd no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave. Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil’s house. “Hey, Virgil! This here’s Floyd....Did the Sheriff come?” “Yeah!” “Did they chop your fi rewood?”“Yep!” “Happy Birthday, buddy!”

THUNDER OVER LOUISIANAThunder Roads Magazine Louisiana3 – Year Anniversary & Ride-In Benefi tSunday, March 25th, 2007Southport Hall, Jefferson, LAby: toni mccoy shearon & brian shearon

We (i.e.; Founders of Thunder Roads Magazineâ from Corp. of-fi ce in TN) had known that Nappy (State Editor/Owner for TRM LA) was throwing a combination 3-Year Anniversary Party in conjunction with a Ride-In Benefi t to assist the families of deployed troops, via a 501-C titled “Louisiana Cares” and knew immediately that this was something we specifi cally wanted to attend, in person, to honor Nappy and his staff.

This man has literally been thru the rabbit’s hole, traveled the pitch-black tunnel, and has emerged victoriously back out the exit door since the devastation of Katrina. Nappy lost a whopping 76% of his magazine’s advertisers in the days following Ms. K’s departure. However, true to his pit-bull, tenacious nature, Nappy gathered his forces and fortitude and began rebuilding his magazine where most would have thrown in the towel.

I believe what truly impressed us is that Nappy made “No Ex-cuses” whatsoever, and you never heard him utter Katrina’s name not even once. He kept his prices the exact same they were before the hit, locked his jaw tight and proceeded with his diminished staff to start all over again and rebuild his magazine for the bikers of LA that were in dire need of some structure of norm for their biker community.

It was a long, long labor of love and tediousness. So much be-aurocratic b.s. to deal with, of which he received no governmental or public assistance, and the no’s always outweighed the positives. At a time when almost everyone else that we spoke with was com-plaining that things would never be the same for that region, Nappy wasn’t saying a word. He was just doing. He was just rebuilding. He was just making it happen, day by day, month by month.

When you see Nappy’s ALL GLOSS, 64 PAGE, THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE LOUISIANA, today, you have to just hold it and be very still as you sense ghosts swirling across the pages, absorb the actual blood spilled, the true sweat of thousands, and enough salty tears to breach another levy, to comprehend what has gone into the phoenix of this edition. Nappy’s mag looks better than it ever did, but most assuredly not better than it ever will. When I think of perseverance, humanity, a will of iron and a razor sharp wit (and writes wicked-precision letters), I think of Dwayne (Nappy) Chauvin, and we are honored to know him as a man; even prouder to have him as a State Editor/Owner and colleague for the Thunder Roads family, but most importantly, to be able to call him Friend. He is of a rare and genuine breed.

We’re headed out this morning to take a gorgeous, BIG, ice-blue Lucite trophy, in person to Louisiana, to Nappy and a smaller one to Brenda (Flayva) Romans, his Associate Editor, as tangible recognition and honor bestowed for all that this magazine and its’ people have accomplished since August of 2005. It will be a long trip to make, but in relativity to the journey they’ve already experi-enced………it’s a pebbles throw. We love ya’ dude, and will surprise you, ohhhhhh, in about 8 hours.

GAINESVILLE , Fla. – A promising weekend went up in smoke, but it wasn’t a total loss for drag racer Ronnie Fensick. The Harley-Davidson of Seaford Race Team member lost his engine in the quarter fi nal round of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod Class after qualify-ing as the second fasts machine in the nation at the Screamin’ Eagle Bike Week Nationals presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson March 2-4 at Gainesville Raceway.Undaunted by the setback, Fensick proceeded to fi nish in the top four on his Super Gas Harley- Davidson motorcycle after qualifying eighth out of 38 bikes. Fensick also lost in the quarter-fi nals of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod Destroyer class after qualifying fi fth out of 30 bikes at the Florida race. This is the seventh year Fensick has raced for the Harley-David son of Seaford Race Team and consistently runs at the top of the fi eld, including being crowned King of the Mountain last year at the Bristol , Tenn. event.Harley-Davidson of Seaford is also a sponsor of Elkton, Md.’s Bob Malloy. Malloy, racing in the Screamin’ Eagle Top Fuel class, the fastest motor-cycles, won the class with a 6.484 run at 195.6 mph in the fi nals. Malloy was not forced to push his machine to its maximum as his opponent Tom my Grimes from North Carolina broke in his fi nal run. Malloy also had two runs under 6.4 second during the races.More than 400 motorcycles competed at the season opening event in Gainesville . Visit www.hdofseaford.com for more information on the Har-ley- David son of Seaford Race Team or www.ahdra.com for information on the All Harley- David son Drag Racing Association.

HD Seaford Racing News

Malloy Triumphs at AHDRA Bikeweek Nationals After a tremendously successful end to the 2006 racing sea-son, Nitro Harley standout Bob Malloy outlasted a full fi eld of 15 other top-notch competitors to earn the fi rst AHDRA Screamin’ Eagle Top Fuel win of the season at the Bikeweek Nationals from Gainesville, Fla. March 2-4.Malloy successfully overcame what proved to be an unpre-dictable season-opening event. Heading into eliminations, due to unrelenting rain showers throughout the weekend, none of the pro riders had made a single qualifying or shake-down run. AHDRA president Craig Tharpe decided the fairest way to qualify the riders was to rank them based on the 2006 fi nal point standings. That formula left Malloy in the No. 11 spot. Despite the less-than-favorable starting position Malloy, who owns the quickest high-gear-only Harley, performed magnifi cently

consistent throughout the day with winning runs of 6.38, 6.32 (his quickest to date), 6.44, and a 6.48 to defeat the Samson Exhaust/Ray Price-backed bike of Tommy Grimes in the fi nal. The victory was Malloy’s fi rst since building his unique, one-of-a-kind Fueler in 2001. “It’s going to take a little while to sink in,” a shocked Malloy said shortly after the race. “It’s taken a lot of hard work. I continue to set my bike up a little bit differently from everyone else and it has fi nally come to fruition. Today was my day.”However, for Malloy, race day proved to be quite stressful at times. After retuning to the pits from his semifi nal win Malloy discovered some possible damage on his machine and didn’t think he’d be able to make the fi nal.“My motor was so tight it wouldn’t turn over. I went over and told Tommy (Grimes) that I wasn’t going to run,” Malloy said. “Fortunately as the thing began to cool it loosened up and we were able to get some oil pressure. I’m very pleased we were able to make the run.”Malloy went on to explain why he decided to make his bike so atypical and why he prefers the high-gear-only combination.“Originally everyone was breaking their transmissions and I just didn’t have the funding to keep replacing them,” Malloy said. “I decided that I could develop the high gear set-up. We still have a long way to go but it’s showing some promise.”The event victory gives Malloy the fi rst point lead of his decade-long Top Fuel career. Malloy gave special thanks to Bill and Donna from H-D of Seaford, Kenny Crawford, Bob Knight, Bill Christensen, and Rob and Nicky Boninfante from Boninfante Performance Clutches.

Lee Garrett Memorial Run

By Dave Sutton

In February’s issue, I reported on the passing of Lee Garrett, the late owner of Marilyn’s Hot Rod Café in Lynchburg, Virginia. After the services, I was informed that the date for a memorial run had been set for April 14, 2007. However, what started out as a regular, local run has transformed into a large event.

Lee was everybody’s friend and everybody is getting involved. In early February, former local ABATE coordi-nator C.W. Toms called for an all organization meeting to discuss the event. The meeting was held at Logan’s Roadhouse, just down the street from Marilyn’s. I was pleasantly surprised to count over thirty representatives from at least seven different clubs and organizations. These groups covered the entire spectrum of the Biker community. Basic ideas were discussed and explorato-ry assignments were passed out. It was also decided that this would be an annual event, with the proceeds going into a trust fund for Lee’s sixteen year old son, Shane.

C.W. called for a second meeting on March 3, but was quickly reminded that he would be back on the Outer Banks renewing his wedding vows that day. The meeting was rescheduled for March 10. Since Logan’s was pretty crowded, a representative of the Moose Rid-ers suggested we meet at a local lodge.

At the second meeting, over forty representatives were in attendance. The fi nal T-shirt designs were presented, adjusted and approved. Different people and organizations volunteered for different responsibili-ties. Then the discussion turned to the run itself. Here are the details that I have as of now. The run will begin at the Marine Corps League on Lakeside Drive. Break-fast will be available after 8:30 A.M. Actual sign-in is scheduled from 10:00 A.M. until noon. Poker hands are $10.00 and includes admission to the after run event. The run will then travel to the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford. Your poker hand fee DOES NOT include admission to the D-Day Memorial, though special group rates are being investigated. Everyone should check out the Memorial, but those not wishing to can skip that stop and go to one of the local restaurants.

From Bedford, it’s on to Alta Vista and Blue’s Sports Tavern. Then it’s a nice ride back to Lynchburg and Logan’s Roadhouse. After that, it’s a short hop to the Moose Lodge and Family Center on Waterlick Road. Once there, there will be raffl es, food, vendors and music provided by several area bands.

This has the makings of a great beginning to the riding season. Come on down to Lynchburg and help us remember our Brother and friend. It’s just the kind of thing he would love. For more information, contact C.W. at [email protected].

HERITAGE CANCELLED! PRESS RELEASE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The 2007 Heritage Motorcycle Rally (also known as Bike Week Charleston) in Charleston, South Caro-lina has been cancelled. This cancellation includes all concerts, bike shows, car show, the Million Dol-lar Bike Build-Off and all other events scheduled to be held at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds and/or Kicknhorse Saloon during what was called the Heritage Motorcycle Rally. This cancellation is for 2007 and all other years following. All concert ticket holders will receive a refund on ticket purchases. Please request refunds from the place of purchase. All radio and television stations participating in promotions have been informed of the decision to cancel the Heritage and all its associated events. All area Hotels and selected national motorcycle magazines are being notifi ed of the event cancella-tion to help prevent persons coming into Charles-ton from traveling here for this event. The websites have been changed to refl ect the cancellation as well. The Heritage staff has always presented this event as a safe, “Family Oriented” National Motor-cycle Event. And with the combined efforts of most of the motorcycle organizations in the area that has been the case. All of Charleston was promised that in 2003 by the promoter Dave Harvey when this event started. Today he does not believe that he can provide a safe environment in the Charleston area for this event to be held. It is with great sorrow that this historic event had to be cancelled due to attitudes and behaviors of some persons through-out the motorcycle community.

The following is only a small portion from the “Reason For Cancellation” page on their website. To read the entire letter which Dave explains in great detail the reason for this cancellation go to www.bikeweekcharleston.com.

“I can only hope that the loss of the Heritage here in Charleston will one day soon result in all people stopping long enough to evaluate their actions in regards to acceptance of one another and their choices. Bikers are the only people responsible for changing other people’s minds about who we are today. If we change some of our attitudes & behav-iors, then mainstream Americans can then change their attitude and behavior toward us. Of course we can stay the course, and scare the hell out of them…”

Health Subject: Poo Now that makes sense!! It has been scientifi cally proven that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Esche-richia coli (E. coli) bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of Poo. However, we do not run that risk when drinking wine (or rum, whiskey, beer or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purifi ca-tion process of boiling, fi ltering and/or fermenting.WATER = PooWINE = HEALTHErgo: It is better to drink wine and talk stupid than to drink water and be full of crap. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information; I am doing it as a public service. Now you have a good day. Sent in to us from our friend Kay Campbell, R.N. - thanks girl!

Generally cover bands don’t hold their same shape from the root. They transform over the years, rotate members and modify goals. These winds of change will either make or break a good band. We can all guess what it has done for our artists of the month KRUNCH. With a solid line up of dedicated members, we can appreciate our hard working musicians on a personal level. Like you or I, they work Day jobs and when the evening comes, they gather their equip-ment and head out to our favored night spots. With fi ne tuned quality they provide us with exemplary musical talent that brings a high voltage presentation to their music.

Who is KRUNCH?

Four years and a rotating collaboration has given us a solid four piece band that provides exceptional music at well known venues. We begin with founding member and hard hitting drummer, Mark Buchardt. He started the band four years ago with a lineup of original members. Over time and numerous rudimentary changes we are provided with Jeff Townsend and his versatility on vocals, Gary Hammond rightfully pulling strings on lead guitar; and Warren Beavers laying it down solid on Bass. Altogether we fi nd that each of our members has solid experience in the local music scene. They collectively provide the talent required to rock out and respectively provide cover music that keeps our heads swinging and our bodies moving at every show.

What does Krunch Sound Like?

It’s Rock. Pointe Blank. Powerful riffs, pounding drums, precise lyrics and a bass line to keep you moving. They cover Santana, Godsmack, Disturbed, Metallica, and not to mention a growing lineup of songs at every show. You can always expect to hear your favorites but don’t think for one second that you will feel an ounce of repetition. Embraced in the music you will feel as though you are at a live rock show. Feeding off the crowd, they competitively provide some of the best hard rock music around.

What can we expect from Krunch?

We can expect the same hard working attitude they have been providing us for the past few years. Completely content they see no reason to change a thing. Hitting your favorite bike shows, busting the roof off of your favorite nightclubs and bars, you can count on KRUNCH to bring the party to every show. You can however, look forward to a compilation CD to come out some time this year. Come out & see KRUNCH April 14th as they rock the Chesapeake Convention Center @ the Diva Customs “Diva’s Only” Bike Show in Chesapeake, VA.

You can book KRUNCH by visiting WWW.KRUNCHBAND.COM

“To all our fans, we couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for all of your support and feedback and we look forward to seeing you at our next show!”~KRUNCH

THUNDERTHUNDERon the roadon the roadBefore the winter was offi cially over I ventured out to a place where summer never ends. It’s beautiful Nassau Bahamas. Now this is one place I am sure a lot of you have been to, either to the resorts, on a cruise ship, or on a honeymoon. I fl ew over with a few buddies of mine, Hector and Wayne. We stayed at the Breezes on Cable Beach. I was fi rst met at the check in counter by a hostess holding a tray of mixed drinks. It started before I even signed my room slip! The hotel was all inclusive which meant a hard two weeks on our livers. The resort was nice. It defi nitely was not Atlantis but for the price we paid and how much was included, it was better then paying twice as much for a room and getting nothing included! They had a really great entertainment department which hosted many events such as toga parties (my personal favorite), karaoke, talent con-tests, and beach volley ball competitions. They also had a trapeze, yes as in the circus kind. They gave you a block of instruction then let you swing away. I was doing some pretty cool tricks by the end of the two weeks. You have a safety belt on of course. One thing that is a must see is the Junkanoo bands. Junkanoo is their annual festival similar to Mardi-Gras or Carnival. They have huge fl oats and incredible marching bands decked out in the most ornate costumes. Even if you miss Junk-anoo which is during Christmas (Boxing Day) or during their Indepen-dence celebration which is July 10th, you can catch the bands playing live at the hotels from time to time. For all you bikers, there is salvation. There is a Harley-Davidson merchandise shop right down by the cruise ship terminal. A trip is not complete without your Nassau Harley t-shirt, patch, or pin. The people that worked there were very friendly as it is always comfortable to be on familiar territory while overseas. Now if your one of those Americans who does not like to leave the Starbucks infused bubble we call American culture, have no fear. They have most of the fast food restaurants to make you feel at home but we opted for some more exotic and local cuisine. If you are cigar connoisseur then you have heard of Greycliff’s. If you are a wine con-noisseur then you have heard of Greycliff’s. If you have never heard of Greycliff’s then you have offi cially been informed. The restaurant/hotel is over 250 years old. Back in the early 1900’s it was frequented by Al Capone. Now-a-days, famous people make it a point to stop in for a meal or a bottle of wine. A dinner can cost you as little as $50.00. However, I was told by the owner that a famous client whom he would not name, rented out the wine cellar for 6 people and came out with a $10,000.00 bill. Now this amount of money sounds ridiculous, but consider that his wine cellar is valued at “priceless” and is one of the most extensive in the world. We opted to eat next door at The Humidor which they own and is an Argentinean style steak house where you pay $40.00 and it is all you can eat. They come around to your table with every type of grilled meat you can imagine and carve it on your plate till you say stop. This also includes a very hearty salad bar. We couldn’t leave without stopping at Atlantis. It is a breathtaking place to visit with a walk through aquarium where you can have sharks and rays swim right over your head, a brand new multi room casino, and several bars, clubs, and restaurants. After loosing some money to the slot machines and roulette table, I put my camera to good use and got some great photos of the décor and blown glass statuary that adorned the different rooms. If you get a chance, check out the Nassau Cricket Club. It sits right on a regulation cricket pitch adjacent to the old fort. It’s a great English sports pub and has the best bangers and mash! I saw the same type of bikes you will typically fi nd here in the US. I could not, however, fi nd a rental place to do some riding which was a shame because the weather was perfect. There was a scooter rental place but like the old saying goes, “They are fun to ride but you don’t want your friends to see you on one!” Next month I will be taking you to the First Annual Northeast Motor-cycle Expo in Long Island NY

Do not be Denied Access in Virginia From Matt DanielsonLaw Offi ces of Tom McGrathVirginia Coalition of Motorcyclists

Have you ever attempted to park in a public parking lot or parking garage and been faced with a sign reading in whole or in part that motorcycles are not allowed? Have you ever attempted to use any roadway to enter any public property only to fi nd out that motorcycles may not enter the prop-erty? If you have then the locality which is restricting you access merely because you are on a motorcycle is break-ing the law.

Section 33.1-13.1 of the Code of Virginia, prohibits the imposition of any requirement of which the principal purpose is to restrict or inhibit the access of motorcycles and motorcyclists to any highway, bridge, tunnel, or other transportation facility. This provision applies to any roads or transportation facility undertaken or operated by counties, cities, towns and other political subdivisions of the Com-monwealth where public funds have been used in whole or in part to plan, design, construct, equip, operate, or main-tain the facility. For the purposes of state law a parking garage or parking lot is a transportation facility.

This issue has arisen several times over the last year. This past summer my wife and I were visiting Williamsburg with our two children. We were in our SUV (I apologize for that) waiting to park in the Prince George Street parking garage. Ahead of us was a motorcyclist attempting to enter the garage. It seemed to be taking longer than it should have so I rolled down my window to see why. At that point I heard the attendant say that motorcycles were not allowed in the garage. I could see my wife wince (she knew what was coming) as I exited the car. I found from the attendant that the garage is owned and operated by the City of Wil-liamsburg. The very next Monday a letter went out to the city informing them of the law in Virginia. Within 30 days, that garage was opened to motorcycles. Unfortunately, the issue has now arisen in Big Stone Gap Virginia. The town operates a cemetery. The town does not allow motorcycles to enter the roadways of the cemetery. A letter went out last week and we will see what happens next.

The bottom line is that if the state, or any city county or town uses public money to build, maintain or operate any roadway or transportation facility, they cannot keep motor-cycles from using them. We as motorcyclists pay taxes which fund these projects. We should not be told that we can’t use them.

I would encourage any motorcyclist who sees any situ-ation similar to the ones described in this article to let the owners know that they are breaking the law. If that does not correct the situation, feel free to give my offi ce a call. We don’t charge a dime to enforce this statute. We as motorcyclists have the same stake in protecting equal ac-cess to public property as you do, and we will be more than happy to help. As always, if you have any questions, com-ments or concerns about anything I have written, feel free to give me a call at 1-800-321-8968.

Brother Lost

The tribute article for Lee Garrett, Owner of Mari-lyn’s Hot Rod Café, written by Dave Sutton, that ap-peared in our February 2007 issue, made mention of the term “outriders” but we’d listed it as “Outrid-ers” in one of the sentences. This term was used only in reference to the motorcycle riders that were blocking intersections and keeping the procession together. This was only a descriptive term and was NOT referring to the name of any Motorcycle Club.

LOOKING OUT FOR YOU Google Phone Number/Mapping

Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and you will be given the person’s name and address. If you then hit Map Quest, you will get a map to the person’s house. Everyone should be aware of this! It’s a nationwide reverse telephone book. If a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can now look it up to fi nd out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming. Note that you can have your phone number removed or blocked. I tried my num-ber and it came up along with the Map Quest and directions straight to our house. I did fi ll out the removal form for myself, and encourage all of you to do the same. It’s quite scary. Please take the time to look up your own number. In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: www.google.com. Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e. 555-555-1212) and hit enter. If you want to B L O C K Google from divulging your private information, simply click on your telephone number and then click on the Removal Form. Removal takes 48-hours. Check your own number and although this may not apply to you if you have an unlisted number or cell phone as primary contact, but you may know someone who needs to know this. Please share this information with all of your family and friends.

KIM MOTOR COMPANY INC.By Kim Zimmerman, Owner

I guess it really started back in the 60’s, probably the early 60’s. I was a little kid in the backseat with my brother, Keith, making that long ride back from Miami. Mom and dad were up front. All the sudden I heard the rumble of thunder. It kept coming. I was scared as I peeped over the window. They kept coming and I fi nally got the nerve to look out the back window. It was packs of them. They just kept coming. Don’t remember how long it lasted but it was enough to put me in a trance that carried me all the way home. That is the fi rst time I knew what I wanted in life.

Years later, I was at a back yard body shop with my dad. They let me sit on a bike while they talked. It was a hot summer night. They turned a fan on me so I could think I was riding and had a good laugh. It didn’t bother me... I was in heaven. After that, my dad came home with a M65 Harley for my brother and me to ride on the sawmill trails. It didn’t take long for us to burn that one up.

My dad started going to insurance salvage sales to buy some cars for the body shop man to fi x so they could make some money. I started buying insurance claim cars and bikes to run on the sawmill trails. Man, life was good. I couldn’t wait to get home from school to hit the trails.

The day I turned 16, I got my car and motorcycle license and had a car and bike paid for and tagged. Made the money by shoveling snow, cutting grass, selling scrubs, paper route and some from the salvage cars. My fi rst car on the road was a 68 AMX with a 390 engine. It lasted about 2 months until I rolled it 3 times. The insurance co. paid me $1800 and I made $1000 profi t. I called James, he said just tow it behind the house. Never said anything else. Can you imagine the worry I put him through? But he never said a word. By the time I got out of high school, I had been through 18 cars and bikes.

I went into business for myself just before I turned 21. James and I rented a warehouse for $75 a month. We would work the salvage auctions and enjoy every minute of it. We used to rent a tow bar. Finally decided to buy one...it cost $125. Every once in awhile a Harley would

come through the salvage auction. They always seemed to bring a lot of money. Sometimes I would get one. Always thought I paid too much but they always seemed to sell for a profi t.

Time sure goes fast. Must be something to that “blink of an eye” thing. So, here I am 32 years later. Life is still good. Thank the Lord. I used to run the road constantly, now I can do it from my desk. I hired Lusty Parlow about 5 years ago. She designed built and runs my web-site www.kimmotor.com. She handles it all & does a wonderful job. We do a lot of specialty cars and exotics, but mostly Harleys.

I have Hog Barn Cycles build me 3 or 4 bikes a month, but mostly I sell them damaged as I buy them. Sold around 200 last year. Alot of them sell out of the country. It is a world market nowadays. If you can’t sell in the world market, you can’t compete at the prices you have to pay for salvage. We carry a Harley inventory of A low of 40 to 100 bikes. Plus some Big Dog, Iron Horse and custom bikes. NO sport bikes.

My dad, James at 85, still works every day. Says he would like to retire but can’t cause he hasn’t got me straight yet. I bought him this Aston Martin DB9 the other day. He looks good in it. He doesn’t say much but I think he likes it. Stop by and see us here at Kim Motor Co. Inc., 948 E. THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE 37

I received a very interesting email on the 2nd of March 2007, from Martha Dollarhide along with a nice letter from her husband, Bobby Lee Ingram. After reading our March 2007 issue’s article on History of Bike Week (pg 52), it seems as though they have found a piece of family history to let us know about & we wanted to share it with you. Enjoy! ~ Kelly ~

Email from Martha:“Attached you will fi nd a letter of greeting from Bobby Lee Ingram, my husband. Also attached, you will fi nd photos of his grandparents in the late 1930’s and a current photo of Bobby. His grandparents both rode their bikes down from High Point , NC every year possible and raced at Daytona. Bobby is originally from High Point and was thrilled to see Virginia and North Carolina join the Thunder Roads family. He enjoyed your current issue and welcomes you aboard. Bobby’s grandfather is in the photograph of the bikers lined up to race on the beach in your article about Bike Week.Thank you so much for taking the time to read Bobby’s letter, and please let me know if we can get a copy of that photo. Take care on the roads!Martha C. Dollarhide (Yes, same fi rst name as Bobby’s grandmother!) Oxford, Mississippi”

Bobby’s Letter: March 1, 2007Good Folks,I am Bobby Ingram, aka. Silent Skulls M/C “Bloodline”. I have been a writer and photographer for the Mississippi Thunder Roads Magazine since August of 2002. I enjoyed the article in your March issue on Bike Week (Page 58). I don’t have a copy of the photo you printed but I can add to your story by making the history a little more per-sonal. The bike second from the left, lined up to start the race is my grandfather Lester Harold Creasey. He and my grandmother Martha would ride their Indians down from High Point, NC every year to join the crowd of die-hards running the beach. I can’t send you the 8-mm fi lm my grandmother recorded of the iron horses scattering sand on the shore leg of the race loop, but I can tell you watching those home movies as a child convinced me to continue the traditions of the bike culture. I have included two favorite photos of my grandparents. Papa is dressed in his racing gear before the trip made in 1938, and Nanny is on Daytona Beach (1939) as two of the other racers look on. Papa raced using Nanny’s 1936 Indian. I like to add a name and a face to articles I present to make events more than a rumor or vague memory of the participants and a destination to the crowds yearning for next year. Adding some meat to your article on Bike Films, I’d like your readers to hunt for “The World’s Fastest Indian” starring Anthony Hopkins, released in 2005. I found my copy of the DVD at Wal-Mart. I agree with the review on the case cover, “one hell of a true story!” Thanks for allowing me to share with you. I’ll see ya’ll along the way.”

We did send Martha a copy of the picture that she had requested. It’s amazing that they found a picture of their family history in our article about Bike Week in the March issue. Bobby’s grandfather was in the photograph of the bikers lined up to race on the beach. Imagine that…

THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE 38The Joker’s WildThe Joker’s Wild

The Joker’s WildThe Joker’s WildA dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the local brothels. When he got to the fi rst one, he asked the Madam, “Is this a union house?” “No,” she replied, “I’m sorry it isn’t.” “Well, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?” “The house gets $80 and the girls get $20,” she answered. Offended at such unfair dealings, the union man stomped off down the street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop. His search continued until fi nally he reached a brothel where the Madam responded, “Why yes sir, this is a union house. We observe all union rules.” The man asked, “And if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?” “The girls get $80 and the house gets $20.” “That’s more like it!” the union man said. He handed the Madam $100, looked around the room, and pointed to a stunningly attractive blonde. “I’d like her,” he said. “I’m sure you would, sir,” said the Madam. Then she gestured to a 92-year old woman in the corner, “but Ethel here has 67 years seniority and according to union rules, she’s next.”

A trucker came into a truck stop cafe and placed his order. He said, “I want three fl at tires, a pair of headlights and a pair of running boards.” The brand new blonde waitress, not wanting to appear clueless, went to the kitchen and said to the cook, “This guy out there just ordered three fl at tires, a pair of headlights and a pair of running boards. What does he think this place is .. an auto parts store?” “No,” the cook said. “Three fl at tires mean three pancakes, a pair of headlights is two eggs sunny side up, and running boards are 2 slices of crisp bacon.” “Oh, okay!” said the blonde. She thought about it for a moment and then spooned up a bowl of beans and gave it to the customer. The trucker asked, “What are the beans for Blondie? She replied, “I thought while you were waiting for the fl at tires, headlights and running boards, you might as well gas up!

Bubba and Cedric were standing at the base of a fl agpole, looking up. A woman walked by and asked what they were doing. “We’re supposed to fi nd the height of the fl agpole,” said Bubba, “but we don’t have a ladder.” The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement and announced, “Eighteen feet, six inches,” and walked away. Cedric shook his head and laughed. “Aint that just like a woman! We ask for the height and she gives us the length!”

Two friends, a blonde and a redhead, are walking down the street and pass a fl ower shop where the redhead sees her boyfriend buying her fl owers The Redhead sighs and says: “Oh crap, my boyfriend is buying me fl owers again. The blonde looks quizzically at her and says: “You don’t like getting fl owers from your boyfriend?” The redhead replies: “I love getting fl owers, but he always has expectations after giving me fl owers, and I just don’t feel like spending the next two days on my back with my legs in the air.” The blonde says: “Don’t you own a vase?”

When Dan found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with.

So one evening, he went to a singles bar where he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. “I may look like just an ordinary man,” he said as he walked up to her, “but in just a week or two, my father will die, and I’ll inherit 20 million dollars.” Impressed, the woman went home with him that evening and...three days later, she became his stepmother.

A small zoo in Florida had a very rare species of gorilla. Within a few weeks the gorilla, a female, became very diffi cult to handle. Upon examination, the veterinarian determined the problem. The gorilla was in season. To make matters worse, there was no male gorilla available. Thinking about their problem, the Zoo Keeper thought of Jim-Bob, a redneck part-time worker responsible for cleaning the animal cages. Jim-Bob possessed ample ability to satisfy a female of any species. The Zoo Keeper thought they might have a solution. Jim-Bob was approached with a proposition. Would he be willing to mate with the gorilla for $500.00? Jim-Bob showed some interest, but said he would have to think the matter over carefully. The following day, he announced that he would accept their offer, but only under four conditions. 1. “First”, Jim-Bob said, “I aint gonna kiss her on the lips.” The Keeper quickly agreed to this condition. 2. “Second”, he said, “You can’t never tell no one about this.” The Keeper again readily agreed to this condition. 3. “Third”, Jim-Bob said, “I want the chil’run raised Southern Baptist.” Once again, the Keeper agreed. 4. “And last of all, Jim-Bob stated, “You gotta give me another week to come up with the $500.00.”

Panhead Phil and V-Rod went on a camping trip. As they lay down for the night, Panhead said:” V-Rod look up into the sky and tell me what you see?” V-Rod said, “I see millions and millions of stars.” Panhead: “And what does that tell you?” V-Rod: “Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Theologically, it tells me that God is great and that we are small and insignifi cant. Meteorogically, it tells me that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?” Panhead: “Somebody stole our tent.”

An extremely fl at-chested young lady went to Dr. Vudo, a local witch doctor about enlarging her fl at breasts. Dr. Vudo advised her, “Every day after your shower rub your chest and say, “Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies.” She did this faithfully for several months and it worked! She grew terrifi c D-cup boobs! One morning she was running late, got on the bus and in a panic realized she had forgotten her morning ritual. Frightened she might lose her lovely boobs if she didn’t recite the little rhyme, she stood right there in the middle aisle of the bus closed her eyes and said, “Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies.” A guy sitting nearby looked at her, “By any chance, are you a patient of Dr. Vudo’s?” “Why, yes I am... How did you know?” He leaned closer, winked and whispered, “Hickory dickory dock...”

By Dennis Martin

I saw this bike being rebuilt for the past few months and I knew I just had to get a pictorial for you.WOW! What a Bike. At fi rst glance this bike may look like just another custom bike. When you really take a closer look, the theme is revealed. What you won’t see, is its history and link to the Beatles. A few years back, this bike was built by Steel Horse Custom Choppers in actu-ally eight days. It was displayed at the fi rst George Harrison Beatles Festival that is now held every year in Benton, IL. This is also the location of Hard Days Nite Bed and Breakfast. Before it was a B&B, this is where Louise Harrison, George’s sister, lived when he visited in 1963. This was about 4 months before the Ed Sullivan show appearance. So now you know why they have the festival there. Louise remembers the bike and looks forward to seeing it again, since the re-construction and redesign is complete. The name of the bike, Sexy Sadie, comes from one of the songs on the album. The plate that covers the rear axle has the date the album was released in the UK (11/22/1968), along with her name. For you music buffs, I realize that the song “Eight Days a Week” is not on the White Album, but an eight day bike build is an accomplish-ment that not many people can say they have done. The owner of Sexy Sadie is Tim Middleton of Middle-ton RV in Festus, Mo. He knew that this diamond in the rough could be better. Tim handed the project over to Phil Clifton of PC Custom Bikes in Crystal City, Mo. and with a little time and $$$, it has become an award winning bike. The original gold plated wheels were used since they were an integral part on the bike. The wheels, which look like records, have songs from the album inscribed on each side. There are also replica ticket stubs on the rear fender from the Aug. 12, 1966 concert in Chicago, IL. Notice that the air cleaner has “The Beatles” embossed like the album covers were. The tank had a serial number of 0001. As part of the upgrades, the number was modi-fi ed to 000001 because the White Albums were all labeled with a six digit number. This is truly a tribute to the album because there are song titles from the album all over the bike. The major modifi cations were the white powder coat and the diamond cutting on the engine, the faces of the Beatles added to the tank by Liquid Illusions, and the chrome sissy bar with a clef (one of the fi rst symbols in sheet music). There are numerous other modifi cations that Tim has done, but I think I will let the pictures describe them. If it looks like gold, it is gold. A jeweler’s cloth is used to polish the gold plat-ing. I didn’t realize the amount of detail that went into this bike. Louis Harrison is now in Branson, Mo. managing the Liverpool Legends. The Beatles are accredited with the British Invasion and now the Liverpool Legends recreate that era that changed the world. It is “Yester-day” again in Branson. I will have to admit I was not a Beatles fan when I was younger, but now that I am older, I am willing to check them out. If you would like to know more, logon to www.liverpoollegends.com

Smoky Mountain Bike Week-It’s A Down Home Feelin’

By Matthew AllanIf you are making rally plans this year

and need a change from Sturgis, try Smoky Mountain Bike Week held near Fontana Lake in North Carolina. The rally is held in October with about 1,000 riders attending in 2006 so there aren’t the crowds and that makes for great rides and new friends. The hosts at Fontana Village Resort make you feel right at home and create a great local feeling with the rally’s social events. Last year’s highlights included:

·A music festival featuring local rockabilly and acoustic bands that played their hearts out for you. In 2006, there was a lady carrying the name of Shawn James with a voice as deep and strong as nearby Fontana Lake that seemed to defi ne the best musical moments over several days. Another band, The Chili-billys showed off their talents by playing all the southern rock that everyone knew. The crowd was encouraged to make requests.

·Rally Bonfi res held in the large fi eld near the music stage so people could gather together and enjoy the crisp fall evenings. In 2006 we had clear nights and a full moon for dancing and howling.

·Vendor access near the Lodge and rally grounds made it possible to ride in and shop, then step over to the pizza shop for beer and hot food. People chose to hang out, get a patch for their leather and eat North Carolina BBQ until it was time to ride again.

·A great choice of accommodations, in the lodge with the huge stone fi replace, cabins in the trees or camping below the dam at Fon-tana Lake. The food is also very good at the Fontana Village Resort restaurant.

The people we met in 2006 included a family with their little girl riding behind mom on a pretty sweet trike. There was the father and son riding down from early cold in Minnesota. Dad wanted to give his son a few new memories after his return from Iraq. There were scores of people from all over the world riding through Hellbender, the Dragon and Cherohala. The fall colors were great and the traffi c wasn’t bad riding through Smoky Mountain National Park.

The 2007 rally will be held from October 4th through the 7th just in time for autumn to present its fall color lineup. In 2006, Smoky Moun-tain Bike Week was held concurrent with the Myrtle Beach Bike Fest so it was possible to ride from one rally to the other. The same is true for 2007. It’s a great chance to ride thru the Carolinas from seacoast into the mountains. There are so many possible stops along the way it is hard to capture the options or even expect to arrive at your rally des-tination on time. The obvious stops along the way would be Hickory, NC – a bluegrass stronghold or perhaps Asheville, NC to visit the Vanderbilt mansion and then old town for a bite to eat. A detour along the Blue Ridge Parkway is another option; it would be a great ride and probably shared with other rally goers on the road.

The rally is held at the Fontana Village Resort located on State Road 28 known as “Hellbender28” and joins up with the infamous “Tail of the Dragon” on U.S. 129 at Deal’s Gap, N.C. Fontana Village has a “pit stop” right on Hellbender28 with the look of a 1950’s style gas station. Riders can fuel up their machines, grab a cold beverage and swap bike stories of the day. Since Hellbender28 is truly a great riding experience there is much to share. For riders at the rally, the pit stop was a place to hear about conditions on the twisties before

heading out.Riding Hellbender28 is like dropping down a bobsled run and then it

pops out along beautiful Fontana Lake and the Little Tennessee River. It is a gripping ride down through the trees and breaks out upon broad waters with quiet places to stop and enjoy the scenery. Hellbender28 climbs the mountain on the other side of the Little Tennessee River to intersect with the infamous Tail of the Dragon (US Hwy 129). The good news is that the dragon has a new tail meaning fresh pavement which gives a much smoother ride and more traction than the surface provided in recent years.

Another ride is the Cherohala Skyway which runs for 31 miles along the Smoky Mountain ridges at an elevation of 5,400 feet. The high ridges give early color to the region punctuated by sweeping curves and broad vistas that are a pleasure to cruise. There are plenty of good places to pull over and you will be met by fellow riders shar-ing the same great experience with you. It is an entirely different experience from riding the Tail of the Dragon or Hellbender28, yet they are all close together. It is possible to combine the rides to make a wonderful day shared with others along the way.

The Fontana Village Resort knows what a great riding place their part of North Carolina is and offers great lodging, food and RV camping to complete your experience. If you can’t wait until the Fall rally, Fontana Village is holding “The Dam Bike Rally” from May 31st through June 3rd. The rally is named for the highest dam east of the Rockies and was built in 1942. If you are a fi sherman there is lake and trout stream fi shing when you get off the bike. But that will be a tough decision with all the great riding. You can get more info on the May rally at www.dambikerally.com. Safe travels. Life is best just cruisin’.

By P.J. Nagel, President of Va. Chapter 9 of the Red Knights MC

A great “21 and over” event held in true Mardi Gras fashion was held at Star City Power Sports in Roanoke. Bike Bike Night, as it is labeled, is a way for the dealer-ship to say thank you to its customers and to also show off a complete line of 2007 bikes decked out in the latest fashions of chrome.

To order a drink from someone wearing beads and a mask is one thing, but to talk parts and accessories with someone wearing an oversized Jester Hat is another. I had to do just that in order to take advantage of the dis-counts they were offering for the night of the show.

In the “chrome fashion show” was the new Honda C2, a lime green VTX 1300, the new radical M109r from Suzuki, a decked out Yamaha Stratoliner, and a Goldwing that had everything but Dish Network on it! The bikes were laden with chrome and accessories, a lot of which are not even available to the general public yet.

There was easily over 500 people in attendance and fun was had by one and all. It was a great way for clubs that normally never hang out together to get together and tell tall tales and lies! The guys at Star City Power Sports certainly know how to throw a party, and they put more emphasis on treating their customers right so you can imagine what there customer service is like!

April is here, and with it comes the true beginning of

spring. Winter has melted away behind us, the trees have

come alive and bikes can be seen and heard all around us.

Isn’t it great to get out there on the open road and feel a

nice warm breeze in your face instead of that chill winter

air?

Another thing I love at this time of year is the celebration

of Easter. To many people around the world, Easter is a

Miracle Day. One of the reasons we celebrate it is because

that in a world of worry and weariness, we need a miracle.

And Easter is a holiday that represents the greatest miracle

of all time. And that is one of the reasons we enjoy celebrat-

ing it.

Many people have fond memories of Easter. Coloring

eggs and going on Easter egg hunts; Getting together for a

big dinner with the family; Going to church to celebrate the

triumph over sin and death that we can have through Jesus

Christ.

Wouldn’t it be great to replicate the joyful mood found on

Easter morning every day?

Jesus’ disciples were never the same after that fi rst Eas-

ter. It affected how they viewed the world and what they did

for the rest of their lives. They never got over it.

And that’s how it could be for all of us. The feelings of

Easter do not need to be limited to one Sunday a year.

But we often let things get in the way. We’ve made mis-

takes, things go wrong. We get distracted and it becomes all

too easy to think that we’ve failed.

Well, maybe we have. But the good news is that it doesn’t

matter. Jesus paid the debt for all of our sins and failures

when he died on the cross. He died and rose from the dead

so that we could have total forgiveness. And it’s time we

learn that because he lives, all guilt is gone.

That is the implication of Easter for us. Just like spring

brings new life all around us in nature; coming into a rela-

tionship with Christ brings us new life as well. And unlike

the trees and fl owers that will eventually die as we transition

through summer to winter: The new life we fi nd in Jesus

Christ is eternal.

Get out there and enjoy the ride!

Always and All Ways in Christ

BUSTED KNUCKLES Ever wondered where you could

go to get your bike or ATV repaired or customized? Well, we’ve got the answer: welcome to Busted Knuckles Custom Cycles in Bunker Hill, WV! And from now until the end of April you can also help out Breast Cancer

Research.Busted Knuckles is the brainchild of Rob Barlow who, after he

moved to his current location, convinced Paul Hysell from RPM Cycle in Winchester, VA to bring his sportbike knowledge into the busi-ness. Nowadays Rob, Paul, and the rest of the shop work on metrics, sportbikes, Harleys, and ATVs. They even build full-out custom bikes. If you’ve got an idea, they can probably bring it to life and if you don’t...well it’s not like they don’t have plenty of ideas of their own!

So where does breast cancer research come into the equa-tion? Well, each year The 1 in 8 Motorcycle Series Against Breast Cancer chooses eight custom bike builders to build bikes to raise funds for breast cancer research. For this, the second year of the fundraiser, Busted Knuckles is taking a 2002 Honda CBR 600 and adding parts donated from Naarden Suspension, Star Rotor, and Ram Tech, Inc. to create a custom sport/drag-theme. Of course, they’ll also be fabricating a few of their own one-off additions.

Once fi nished, all the custom bikes will be displayed at 15 events, starting in Youngstown, OH. Busted Knuckles’ bike will appear on AThe Tonight Show with Jay Leno.@ The fi nal stop for the bikes will be in California where they’ll be auctioned off at a celebrity auction.

As you can see from the photos, this Apile of parts@ is still very much a work in progress. But the guys at Busted Knuckles are determined to meet their end-of-April deadline. Check back next month to see how they’re doing.

For more information on The 1 in 8 Motorcycle Series to benefi t breast cancer research go to www.1in8.org. To check out Busted Knuckles, they’re located at 9478 Winchester Ave., Bunker Hill, WV., (304) 229-9360 or you can visit their website at www.busted

knucklescycles.com. If you’d like to donate to the cause, feel free to contact either The 1 in 8 Organization or Busted Knuckles.
