    Ιin the mind of everyone is thatwinter time is associated withlow temperatures, rain, snow,

    heavy overcoats, and umbrella’s .

    Greece will have the occasional coldday or rainy day but most of the ti-me its sun with cool temperature.Snow, its only found on the moun-tain tops and the ski centers.

    Greece has been investing in snowsport infrastructure, to attract bothGreeks and foreign tourists.

    Currently, there are more than 21ski and snowboard resorts open, lo-cated between the northern Pelo-ponnese and Macedonian border.

    Ski routes differ in difficulty and inaltitude, from 5000 to 8200 feet.

    Winter is probably the best time tovisit Greek mythological cities, anti-que temples or museums, as all thetourist crowds are already gone.Itcan't get better. One can come toAthens, Thessaloniki or any othermajor city and enjoy what they of-fer, ie. sites, museums, shopping,theaters, sports, food, night life and

    in just an hour or two be at a skicenter enjoying your favorite sport!

    Parnassos mount Ski Resort -Arachova - Greece's most popular 

    Fterolakka and Kelaria are a part of the biggest ski resortsin Greece and they combine high adrenaline with extremeskiing in a cosmopolitan environment just 180 km awayfrom Athens and 25 km from Arachova.

    Parnassos Ski Resort AccessibilityYou can start from Athens with your own car followingthe national road connecting Athens to Lamia leading

    to Thiva.Then you move on towards Livadia and then to Aracho-va. From Arachova follow the signs to the ski resort.In 2 and a half hours you will be there.During the weekends you will have a problem finding aparking space if you are there late.

    Karpenisi - Velouchi Ski Resort It is only 284 km from Athens, 12 km from Karpenisi and 368 km fromThesaloniki. Only in a few hours you will find yourselves in anenvironment full of trees, running waters and fresh air.By car, you will have to follow the national road connecting Athens toLamia and then follow the consecutive turns leading to Timfristos.
