CREDIT TRANSFER EVALUATION STEPS

STEP 2: SELECT TRANSFER EQUIVALENCY DATABASE
STEP 3: SELECT THE SCHOOL FROM WHICH YOU ARE TRANSFERRING COURSES
STEP 4: SELECT THE APPROPRIATE DATA SET (GENERALLY THE MOST RECENT YEAR)
** If the course you want to evaluate is not listed under the most recent catalog year, please check the other catalog years listed for the course.
** To view a different catalog year, select the VIEW ALL red link located to the right of the page.
STEP 5: VIEW THE COURSE YOU WANT TO EVALUATE FOR TRANSFER

** This equivalency form indicates both Organic Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry Lab I must be taken at LCCC to receive credit for UW’s Organic Chemistry I course.
** Research Problems in Biology from LCCC will transfer to UW as a General Transfer Elective.

This checklist will help you determine what courses may transfer and what courses are left for you to complete.
STEP 17: USE YOUR EQUIVALENCY LIST TO FILL IN THE REQUIREMENTS CHECKLIST
Students transferring to UW from any Wyoming community
college with an Associate Degree of Arts, Science, or
Business will have met the lower division USP 2003
requirements, except for the second math course and an upper
division writing course.
Each College/Major/Program may have additional core course
requirements.
Associate of Applied Science degree courses will be
evaluated individually to determine transfer credit.
TRANSFERRING WITH AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE FROM WYOMING
An AA/AS/AB degree will transfer to UW from the following
Colorado and Nebraska community colleges and will meet USP
2003 requirements, except for a second math course, an
upper division writing course, and Wyoming Government.
Most Colorado Community Colleges
Western Nebraska Community College
Mid-Plains Community College
Colby Community College
Associate of Applied Science degree courses will be
evaluated individually to determine transfer credit.
TRANSFERRING WITH AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE OUTSIDE OF WYOMING
General elective courses are applied towards the total number of credit hours required for graduation.
A general elective course may also apply towards USP credit.
Courses below 1000-level or (generally) vocational tech courses will not transfer.
You may petition for a course to be re-considered for USP credit or major credit. For more information on petitions, contact your advisor.
COURSE CREDIT
Students transferring without an AA, AS, or AB degree will have their
transcripts reviewed by the Offi ce of Registrar on a course by course
basis. Students will be required to complete all USP core courses.
To qualify as a transfer student, students will need to have
completed 30 or more transferable credit hours (after high school)
and have at least a 2.00 cumulative grade point average.
If transferring with less than 30 transferable credit hours, high
school transcripts must be sent to Admissions. Students under the
age of 21 must also include ACT scores.

To find the Transfer Coordinator contact information, go to the Transfer Resources home page, select the college/program in which you wish to enroll. A dialogue box will appear.
