Video-making process

First slide/Title

• This is the first scene of my video.• I inserted a photo of the Galaxy shoes that has already been made, so the viewers

would know how the shoes turn out in the end and if the video is worth watching. • This photo will last 4 seconds – plenty of time for the viewers to observe.

• I used the font “BlackJack” and this is the font I will be using throughout the entire video

“What you need?”

• This scene acts as a transition page. As it says “What you need?” this tells the audience that next, the video will be introducing the materials needed in order to make these Galaxy Shoes.

• I will use the background called “pinstripes” provided by iMovie

• The duration of this scene is 2.5s

• I will use the font “BlackJack”

• In this scene, I uploaded still images of each materials used in order to make galaxy shoes.

• The individual still images last 2 seconds long, except for the 4 shoe images, which last a second each – this gives an effect as if the shoe is moving. Like this: (shown below)

Introducing materials

• There will be short video clips in between each still image for this scene.

• These video clips will have a fast-forwarding effect – sped up to 200% (shown on the first snapshot).

• These video clips will be muted – volume turned down to 0% (shown on the second snapshot)

• This shows the process of adding clips to the video, as shown here, the effect of the bottom text thing is called “Torn Edge - Tan”

How I dealt with adding long sentences

• The effect “Torn Edge - Tan” did not allow me to add long sentences• Therefore in order to overcome this problem, I had to cut down my

sentences and add them onto the video separately, cutting down the sentence into 5 or 6 words each. (As shown here^^)

• This shows how I have muted my clips by turning the volume down to 0%

• This shows that I haven’t put any color effects on the video

• This shows that I have fast-forwarded my clip up to 200%, therefore the original duration which was 26.7s, is now 21.2s

Changes I made to my clips

• This scene is has a collection of photos of the product, which were taken at different angles

• The individual photos lasts 2 seconds• They all have the subheading text effect along the

bottom of the clip saying “This is how the shoe looks like so far”

• This scene shows me adding white paint dots to my shoes, giving off the impression as if they are stars.

• For this scene, like others, I fast forwarded my clips by 200% and muted the volume to 0%

• This scene does not use any fast-forwarding effects • This scene uses the “Torn Edge - Tan” subheading

Adding additional accessories

• This scene shows my final product of my Galaxy plimsolls

• I used two photos, One photo taken inside my room, on top of my marble window-side place, where it has excellent sunlight exposure.

• My other photo was taken outside, with me wearing the Galaxy shoes to show the audience what the shoes look like realistically.

Final product

• Here, I am inserting my background music, “My Rainy Days” by Tenshi No Koi OST into my video.

Adding background music – part 2

• As shown on the left, the music only lasts 3 minutes long, however my video is 3 minutes and 13 seconds long.

• Therefore, I have added another 22 seconds of the same music.

• I added 22 seconds instead of 13 seconds because the music fades away a few seconds before, therefore to make it seem connected, I had to add the music in earlier, overlapping them.

• However, when listening to it, it sounds very natural, and it is not obvious that I added extra music at the very end.
