Born on 7th December 1991 in Goodwill Dominica, ColtonT is labeled one of the most popular young talents on the island of Dominica. The rising star was first introduced to the music industry at the age of 15 when he had the oppor-tunity to learn the art of lyrical composition and music recording from a local producer. The experience sparked a keen passion and in 2010 ColtonT pro-duced his first mixtape titled 'Ascendance'. The release sold over 200 copies in one night and established him as ‘one to watch’ in the dancehall & reggae scene. ColtonT’s popularity within Dominica grew as he became the first successful dancehall & reggae artist in the country. He quickly blew up the local circuit, performing at events including the prominent talent show ‘Q Talent Search’. In 2011, he produced his first music video ‘Can’t Be Friends’ in Guadeloupe. Its release helped to boost ColtonT, gaining him recognition in regional markets including Jamaica, Trinidad and St. Lucia, and built him a fan base in New York. The video was premiered on Carib Vision and was on airplay on Hype TV Jamaica, RE TV and local Dominican channels. Demand for ColtonT continues to gain momentum with recent captivating live performances in New York, Guadeloupe, Jamaica and Houston Texas. ‘NEICY Official’

Hello Fashionistas, a lot has happened since our February issue. So let’s play ketch upJ. For those

who took part in the Carnival festivities, I am sure you all had a fantastic time. And I am sure you all

know that Ash Wednesday marked the official start of the Lenten season, a time of introspection,

self-discipline and repentance. As we remember the significance of this mission that encourages re-

newal, our tip for bringing out the Fashionista in you is:

BEING PATIENT IS KEY- Yes, I know some of you all are wondering what does ‘patience’ have to do

with fashion. And I am here to let you know, more than you think. Don’t go getting confused- be-

ing patient is for you, the Fashionista, to help you while you develop your fashion sense. Some-

times we get so caught up in keeping up with the newest trends and getting the latest arrivals

that we lose ourselves and rush our fashion growth. We become impatient with the develop-

ment process and expect everything to just fall into place and this is simply not how it works.

Everything in life takes time. Therefore being patient is a key to understanding who you are and

being ok with where you are in your journey. A key to becoming a Fashionista is being self-aware

and comfortable, so that you can express yourself to the fullest. Patience is needed to assist

with this area of your personal growth which will reflect in other areas of your life, like your

sense of style J

Take time- have fun and allow that hidden Fashionista to develop at her own pace- but enjoy the

journey during the process.

Kwesi Mc Intosh aka ‘Smallz’ is a Trinidadian Singer/ Songwriter, well-known for his infectious melo-

dies and unique style of music. This passion was introduced at the age of fifteen (15) years when he

began singing, writing and mimicking artiste who inspired him. Artiste such as Bunji Garlin, Machel

Montano, Busy Signal, Sizzla, Anthony B and Vybz Kartel, just to name a few. This led him to join a

group with two other classmates, but it was short lived. In his later years, he became a member of

the music group Mayans, started by his cousin Orlando Octave where he continued to pursue his love

for music. However in 2014, after recording his hit summer dancehall ‘You Want It’ on the popular

Trini-Summer Riddim, he was given the opportunity to become a part of the #TeamD4G (Destined 4

GREATNESS- a group of talented and versatile artiste hailing from Trinidad). Later that year he also re-

leased ‘Lemme See Yuh’, Soca collaboration with Neicy on the energetic Island Pop Riddim.

Recently, he made some serious headlines as one of the three Trinidadians to compete in the Digicel

‘Magnum Kings and Queens of the Dancehall’ competition held in Jamaica. He considers the experi-

ence to be a true blessing because it had such a great impact on his art-form. He says it promoted

growth for him as an artiste and gained him exposure to a new fan base. Although the competition

was very stiff, he enjoyed learning about the Jamaican culture and will be using his experience to de-

velop himself even further, because his goal is to become an internationally recognized artiste.
