Lyrics

English (literal translation, not traditional lyrics): On the long path All white with white snow An elderly gentleman is moving forward With is cane in his hand And there all up high the wind That whistles in the branches Blows to him the sentimental song That he sang as a little boy Hurray for wind, hurray for wind Hurray for winter’s wind That goes on blowing, blowing In the big green fir trees OH! Hurray for wind, hurray for wind Hurray for winter’s wind Snowball and New Year’s Day and Happy New Year, grandmother And the elderly gentleman Goes down toward the village It’s the time when all is quiet And the shadow dances near the fire But in each house There is a festive atmosphere Everywhere the table is ready And we hear the same song (Repeat chorus)
