USAC – RURAL HEALTHCARE

Purpose of the Fund:

• Increase access to broadband for HCP’s, especially those serving rural areas.

• Foster development and deployment of broadband healthcare networks.

Eligibility:• HCP must be public or not-

for-profit • Hospitals• Rural health clinics• Community health centers• Health centers serving

migrants• Community mental health

centers• Local health departments or

agencies• Post-secondary educational

institutions/teaching hospitals/medical schools

• Additional eligibility through Consortium

Supported Services:

• Broadband Services• Reasonable and customary installation charges

• Equipment Necessary to make services functional

• Connections to off-site administrative offices and data centers

• Connections to research & education networks

Application Filing NOW OPEN for Funding to begin January 1, 2014

Funding Resource will be increasing up to 65% reimbursement in FY 2013
